The resources of the two companies were incomparable at that time, but this, on the contrary, became a certain advantage for My Business in the competitive struggle. “We were entirely dependent on how high-quality and successful our only product would be, while Elba is one of the many Kontur services, so it could be assumed that our approach would be more professional. The competition only spurred us on, although many said that we had no chance, ”recalls Yaremko. Another competitor is the 1C company, whose professional software is in the vast majority of Russian enterprises, it was in no hurry to enter the Internet accounting market. “An attempt to simply transfer obsolete software to the “clouds” is doomed to failure,” Yaremko is sure. “You need to completely change the concept of the product, and this is difficult, and few are ready to take such a step, especially if the company is already doing well.” However, sooner or later they will have to do it, and by then "My Cause" may already be out of reach.

In September 2010, Maxim Yaremko met Sergei Panov, a former CEO and co-owner of Aktion-Media, Russia's largest professional press publishing house. Panov invested in My Business, and for more than two years the partners have been developing the project together. The investments came in handy: the company managed to build a sales system that includes a network of regional partners, large online platforms, banks, etc. As a result, the company's revenue in 2011 increased seven times compared to 2010, in 2012 the company continued to grow and improved its performance in 2011 by 4 times, becoming the sole leader in the Internet accounting market at the end of the year.

The company's success lies in knowing the needs of its own customers and meeting these needs, plus a convenient interface. For entrepreneurs without accounting knowledge, the company offers free registration services for individual entrepreneurs and LLCs and simple accounting products (from $18 per month). For professional accountants the company has developed a full-featured service that includes everything you need to work with accounting (from $100 per month). “All our products are based on the principle of simplicity, for example: in the consulting module, for any question on personnel accounting and taxation, the user finds a short and clear answer to the question already in the first sentence - like Google, only in the professional field. In the payroll module, all calculations are accompanied by a clear explanation of where each figure comes from, and if something is still unclear, you can contact our consulting department,” explains Yaremko.

Not a single Russian service, except for My Business, still provides professional expert advice. In addition, at the moment it is the only accounting SaaS service in Russia that has insured its liability for all content, expert recommendations and calculation results. The company was the first to introduce the possibility of using electronic digital signature“in the cloud” for submitting reports to regulatory agencies without installing special software and was the first on the accounting market to offer an “all-inclusive” mode, when all the necessary features for working with accounting are presented in one window. The user can start working within a couple of minutes after registration and work from any computer anywhere.

In March 2012, the company was able to raise another $4 million - one of the largest private funds in Russia, Klever Internet Investments Limited, became a shareholder. The controlling stake remained with Panov and Yaremko. The funds raised were used for R&D, marketing and security enhancements. The company has ambitious plans - to take 20% of the Russian accounting software market. In the "cloud" segment, the company is the undisputed leader, the main competitor is now "1C", focused on medium and big business. Such companies usually have accountants, so Moe Delo focused on developing Internet services for accountants. The company's product is used in all regions of Russia, although the bulk of customers are in Moscow - 40%.

“We have room to grow in Russia, but we do not rule out entering foreign markets, for example, in Ukraine and Kazakhstan, where accounting is in many ways similar to Russian,” Yaremko looks into the future. However, the company does not plan to take any drastic steps yet, choosing a step-by-step development strategy from the very beginning. Now, My Business annually offers several new services that have no analogues on the market.
