What are contracts and how do they work?

The contract system is a player-driven mechanism for corporations and players to formalize working agreements with each other, providing an intuitive way to manage market-supported business deals. Skills and Roles

Corporation Contracts

Contracts are an extremely useful tool for managing a corporation. In order to create contracts on behalf of your corporation, you need the Contract Manager role in your corporation. Create a contract

Creating a contract is very easy, but a little expensive. You will need at least 100k ISK as a refundable deposit to create a public contract. If you don't have the Contracting skill, you will only be able to create one active contract, upon completion you can create a new one. If you learn the Contracting skill, it will allow you to increase the number of contracts placed. You don't have to be docked in a station to create a contract, but the item you want to list in a contract needs to be in your hangar at any station.

1. Selecting the type of contract

To create a contract, click the Contracts button on your neocom panel. You will see the main contract management window. Click the Create Contract button at the top of the window to launch the wizard. You are now on the first of the 4 "Create a Contract" pages. Here you can select the type of contract you want to create and for whom it will be intended. created for your corporation using corporate assets.

Availability will offer 2 options:

2. Choice of items

In this menu you choose what you will put in the contract. Choose the station where the subject of the contract is located (check the box next to the subject being exhibited). Be careful. When choosing an unpacked ship you will lose insurance on it, when you create a contract, all the equipment that is in it will appear in the contract list. By placing such items in a contract, you will be warned. Once you have chosen the subject of the auction, click Next.

3. Settings

This is the last step in which you enter information. In this step, you enter different information for each type of contract, for the Auction field you enter the starting bid and the auction time - 1 day by default. The remaining fields are optional, although it would be nice to put a redemption (purchase price) price at the auction, and you can also enter a description of the subject of the contract in the Description field. Before creating an auction, you can examine the contracts for the price you are listing to find out the actual value of the item starting from the Base Price you can list, although it does not always reflect the actual value of the item. Auction Time (“Auction Time”) - a factor affecting the amount of money that you have to pay for the contract to the broker; the more time, the more you have to pay.

4. Confirmation

Always carefully check all the information you entered before clicking Finish. For a public auction, the following fields will be displayed Sales Tax, Broker's Fee and Deposit. Broker's Fee and Deposit are deducted from your account immediately when you click Finish. Sales Tax is deducted from you if the auction was completed successfully and the Deposit is returned to you. If the auction ends unsuccessfully and no one buys your item from you, the deposit is non-refundable.

As soon as you click "Finish" the contract will be created and a window will be shown to you. You can see your contract in the My Contracts tab in the Contracts window. To do this, make sure that all filters are set correctly "Issued By", Owner - [Your Character's Name], Status - "Outstanding", Contract Type - "Auction", then click "Get Contracts". View and accept contracts

The main contract interface is located in the "Available Contracts" tab. From here, using filters, you can select the types of contracts that interest you. The pages are formed by the time the contracts were created, the first page contains the last 100 recently created contracts. If you are selling a ship, for example, you are not particularly interested in Courier Contracts, you can filter the results by Type Auction or Item Exchange.

If you select "Affordable" then only those contracts that you personally can accept will be shown. This might be a little unreliable for auctions since only the opening bid is used as a qualifier. Specifying a minimum price will also help you weed out unnecessary results. For example, if you buy a ship at a price of 50 million, then you will be shown the results starting from the minimum price for the contract.

Use the "Not issued by" filter to filter out unwanted people and corporations. This is a good mechanism against "spammers". You can put many corporation characters on this list by separating them with a comma. You will need to enter the first few letters of the name and system, after which you will be presented with a selection list. The same settings apply to "Issued By". Note that these two options are mutually exclusive, if you enter multiple names in "Not issued by" but when searching for contracts enter a name in "Issued by" the contract will be shown.

Contract types

There are 5 main types of contracts. Some of them are available to everyone, and some are only for personal contracts. When you create a contract, you set an expiration time for the contract. The expiry time differs for each type of contract, but the price (appr. taxes) varies depending on the expiration date.

1. Auction

This type of contract allows you to put an item (several items) up for auction, you can set it up by specifying a minimum and redemption price. You can also choose an auction expiration time of 1 day (default), 3 days or 1 week. The rest of the players cannot see exactly how much time is left until the end of your auction, they will only see X days, X hours or less than an hour.

When creating an auction, set realistic goals for yourself. For example, if you sell a Raven with a minimum price of 200 million ISK, it is unlikely that anyone will want to buy it, but you will not be returned the deposit.

Here 10% is the minimum rate by which you can increase the price. For example, if the starting price was 1 million, and the current price is 1.6 million, then the next minimum bid will be 1.7 million (or if a contract buyout price was specified). a bid is made, the auction is extended for another 15 minutes.

When the auction time is up, no matter what the result is, you can see it in journal->Contracts "Requires your attention". money, if there were bids (get the money). In the latter case, the deposit will be returned to you, and it will also be recorded in the history of your contracts, unsuccessful auctions are not entered in the history.

The item will be delivered to your hangar (or in your corporation's Deliveries) at the station specified in the contract.

If your bet is outbid, in a contract that has not yet ended, you will also be notified via "Requires attention" in the journal. This will be marked as "You have been outbid", opening the contract will allow you to place a new bid. If your bid was outbid or you lost the auction, then the amount you staked will be returned to the wallet, warnings will appear in the "Requires attention" log until the auction ends or you refuse it (right click on the contract) "Dismiss".

Public auctions are only available in the region in which they were created. If you started participating in an auction, but then left the region and your bid was outbid, you will have to go back to continue participating in it further.

You can always keep a list of the auctions you are currently participating in by selecting "Bid on By" in the magazine's interface.

2. Item exchange

This type of contract gives you the opportunity to exchange your item and/or money for another item and/or money. When you create this type of contract, you choose what you want to sell. Even if you do not want to sell anything, you will still need to specify the station where the player who took your contract will leave the item of interest to you.

It is possible to set a contract for 1 day, 3 days, 1 and 2 weeks.

You can offer money or receive money and an item, but not both. For example, you can trade in a Raven for a Megathron for an additional 5 million ISK. You can also use this type of contract to purchase an item. For example, in this type of contract, you can offer 95 million ISK in exchange for Raven. Remember, when you list your ship in this contract, its insurance will be canceled, no matter how your contract ends.

3. Courier contracts (Courier)

You can create a Courier contract type to have someone move the item(s) for you. The item(s) will be placed in a box that the contractor agrees to deliver from point A to point B. For delivery, you set a reward in case of successful delivery and a deposit if the goods are not delivered to cover your costs. But there is a limit of 120 thousand m3 per courier delivery, the contractor will also be able to look into your package and potentially steal your package, but in doing so, he will lose the deposit. It is necessary to set a deposit in such a way as to cover losses in case of unforeseen loss of the parcel.

It is possible to set this type of contracts for 1 day, 3 days, 1 and 2 weeks.

You can set the period during which the contractor will be obliged to deliver your cargo after the acceptance of the mission. Once the time is up, as a result, you can click - failed - "Fail" - at any time. Note that this does not mean that the contract was automatically unsuccessful, and you can give the contractor some extra time if you agree with him.
It does not matter who the contract was with a corporation or a player, the contractor needs to have the package in his personal hangar before clicking to complete the contract.

4. Loan

You can lend money and/or items to any player, corporation, or alliance. You can set both a price and a deposit that will be charged to the contractor who agreed to Money Lent. You can also choose to borrow money or set a deposit, but not both. This is done in such a way as to reduce confusion, because by setting a deposit and lending money, the whole process loses all meaning.

You can lend the total amount of ISK by setting up this type of contract, but remember that you will be charged the amount when the transaction is confirmed, not completed. For example, if you lend someone 10 million and agree to accept 100,000 as payment. So the contractor will receive 10 million when agreeing to this contract (100 thousand are withheld immediately) he will have to return 10.1 million when the contract is completed. You will not be able to establish any kind of deposit with money loans, so think about how much you trust this person when lending money. Also, this type of contract, once created between two individuals, will not be displayed in the contract history.

You can also lend items you own, ranging from minerals to fully equipped ships.

If you make a loan with a ship as the subject, all modules installed on it will be usable after the transaction is completed. It is very important to note that by giving an insured ship as a loan, you will not receive insurance compensation, if the ship is lost (destroyed) while it is on loan, the contractor will receive insurance as well as the main insurance payment for the lost ship.

However, if your corporation lends an insured ship to any character in a corporation or another corporation in your alliance, the corporation will receive the insurance payout and the contractor will receive nothing. This means that if the ship was destroyed, and the corporation that gave the loan, will receive an insurance payment. Therefore, the corporation could take a deposit below the cost of the loaned ship, taking into account the price of insurance and the price of installed equipment. This may apply between corporations under certain arrangements. This action is not acceptable to landed corporations outside of their alliance!

If any item (any equipment installed on the ship) is lost during the loan period, the contractor can replace it with a similar one. For example, a Cruise Missile Launcher that was installed on a loaned ship was installed on another ship or lost, then the contractor needs to buy a new one and install it on the ship and thus "Complete" "Complete" the loan contract, but if the Raven contract was lost the contractor will not be able to complete the contract.

5. Free form (Freeform)

Free form contracts can be created for both individuals and corporations. Free form contracts can be used to manage your corporation.

When creating a free contract type, you can set both a reward and a pledge. When the contract is accepted, the bond (if any) is withheld from the contractor and kept in a safe place). Once the contractor marks the contract as Completed Successfully, the bond is returned to the contractor and the reward is paid. However, if the creator of the contract marks the contract as "Failed", they will receive a deposit and return the money they indicated in the reward.

The trust relationship is entirely one-way in this type of contract. The creator has full control over the contract. The contractor may mark the contract as "Finished", but this is not exactly the case until the contract creator confirms this.

Therefore, be careful when accepting such contracts from people you do not know.

Freeform contracts basically have only a block of text and filling it out is a tedious task, for those who create a large number of repetitive contracts to write them over and over again, save your contract template in notepad, after which you can copy it to a new contract. It's good to have a few templates for managing their corporation's contracts.

Rules for placing items in contracts

  • You cannot list damaged items in any contract type
  • If you put an insured ship up for auction or in the Item Exchange, the insurance will be canceled

Public

Journal (The Journal)
The journal is an important tool for anyone involved in contracts. From there, you will be able to view all the contracts that are in progress, that you or your corporation are involved in, or are currently running. You can also see a list of all contracts that require your attention.

If your personal contract or any of your corporation's contracts has expired, needs your attention or ended, it will be shown at the bottom of the Contracts table in the Journal interface. Clicking on this link will show you the entire list of contracts requiring your attention ).

There are several different contract states that will show up in the "Requires Attention" list that requires your attention.

Contract Expired
The contract interested no one and is no longer visible to others. You will have to remove it, this applies to all types of contracts.

Overdue
This applies to loans, courier and free form contracts. A number of days have passed since the time allotted for the contract expired, but the contractor did not mark it as completed. Auction has finished

You have won an auction

Taxes and deposit (Taxes and Deposit)
The base price of the contract is the maximum price and reward. Only public contracts are subject to these fees, with the exception of Broker's fee, which is a fixed 10,000 ISK for personal contracts. Auction taxes are applied a little differently, as the final price is not determined until the auction is over.
The base price for the auction is the starting price, reward for courier contracts, and the highest reward and price for item exchange and loan contracts.

There are three types of fees for contract creators:

Security Deposit (Deposit)
This is 1.0% of the base price, the minimum security deposit is 100 thousand maximum 10 million. If the contract has been completed, the security deposit is returned. If the contract expires or you delete it, you will lose this deposit.

Broker's Fee
This is 0.4% of the base price starting from a minimum of 10k and a maximum of 10m. It is withheld when the contract is created and this fee is non-refundable. The Broker Relations skill reduces the collection fee by 0.02% per level of this skill. So at level 5 of this skill you will have to pay 0.3% Brokerage Fees. This skill also affects the deposit margin and lowers it too. So at level 5 of this skill, with the maximum collection of money, you will have to pay 7.5 million.

Contract Expiration Time
Expiration Time - A brokerage fee is charged, the factor for which is the length of the contract. It increases by 0.05% for each day of the contract after its start. This is not yet included in the calculations above as it may increase the Brokerage Fee above the stipulated maximum.
If you have created a contract for 7 days your Brokerage fee will increase from 0.4% to 0.7% but with Broker Relations skill level 5, the tax will be 0.6%

The maximum Brokerage fee is also affected by the contract expiration time and increases by a certain percentage. Each additional day of the contract adds 5% of the maximum brokerage tax, so if the contract is created for 7 days, then at the maximum cash fees the tax will increase to 13 million, thereby increasing by 30% if you do not have the Broker Relations skill, and at 5m level of this skill you will pay only 9.75 million.

Sales tax (Sale's Tax)
This is 1.0% of the base cost, the minimum tax is 10 thousand. and a maximum of 100 million. The tax is withheld upon successful completion of the contract. The Accounting skill allows you to reduce sales tax by 0.1% per level of this skill, lowering it to 0.5% at skill level 5. Accordingly, the tax levied will also change, at the maximum tax you will have to pay 50 million with a level 5 Accounting skill.

The maximum amount has been fixed so you will never have to pay more than 7.5M + 50M = 57.5M ISK upon successful completion of a contract. For courier contracts, these taxes are 110 times the amount above and are neglected by Sale's Tax. If someone taking the courier contract does not fulfill it, the deposit will be returned to the owner of the contract along with the deposit.

Drag'n'Drop
You can drag a contract from your list of contracts to notepad or any chat, etc. It can be inserted as a text block or as a link to a contract. Please note that not all contract links may be available to others.

Fitted ships

In a chat, some person claims that he is ready to sell something good for half the price. And gives a link to the contract. The link itself has already been edited so that the contract type in chat will show up as a sell contract. Only from the inside it will be noticeable that the type of contract is different. As a result, instead of buying yourself a spare Raven, you will sell your ship to a scammer. Or get a contract to transport this product to distant zeros, in addition there is a huge fine that you will pay if the contract is not fulfilled (and the contract is made in such a way that it cannot be fulfilled). “Smart scamming” is a completely different matter. To make a contract of the desired type, you need to be well versed in current market prices. From the outside, this scam looks like this: the contract contains a wild bunch of unrelated things. For example, a ship, a rig, a blueprint, a piece of a POS, a couple of modules, a dozen different components. Everything is sold in bundles only. At the same time, there are not so many valuable items there, all other goods cost a penny. As a result, a player who sees that in addition to the ship, which costs not much more than on the market, he is also offered a bunch of incomprehensible, but probably valuable things, happily buys a contract ... And overpays the seller, because the rest of the goods, except for the ship and the blueprint, are extremely expensive few. It is difficult for the victim to make any claims to the seller here. Item received and the price was fair. For this type of scam, you need to have a good understanding of the current market prices and find a product that will look solid at a penny price. Meta2 and meta3 modules or some cheap and useless fractional contraption are very good in this regard.

In the environment of contracts, there is also a third variant of scams. You can conditionally call them "test for greed." The swindler puts a contract for transportation. In the contract - a closed, but not password-protected container. The one who places the contract for transportation can set the amount of the so-called collateral - a pledge of the value of the cargo, which the carrier issues to the drafter of the contract for the time while the cargo is being transported. If the cargo does not reach the destination on time, then the deposit is not returned. The goods remain with the carrier, and the originator remains with the money.

And here there are 2 subtleties. If a container is included in the transportation, the carrier cannot open it. Showdown automatically fails the contract.

The point is small - to set a reasonable collateral, set a low price for long-distance transportation and put something cheap in the container.

If you have accomplices, then you can make sure that the contract will not be fulfilled. All you need is to put a tempting price and send a person to calm, but dead-end lowsecs. Your friends will make sure that the cargo does not reach its destination. Maybe they will also get hold of loot from an unlucky trucker. I note that this is the type of scam that is risky not only for the “client”, but also for the swindler himself.

Scams in the market bring fraudsters not very stable, but high income. It's pretty easy to defend against them. You just need to carefully read the contracts, and not press the button faster than thought. Yes, contracts are sometimes intercepted, but it's much better to stay "with your own people" than to lose part of the capital due to someone's deception. This is a good method of getting sales claims without exhausting farming.

In any corporation there are many titles. Ranks are needed not only for show, the head of the corporation has the right to set different tolerances for each rank. This can be access to a corporate hangar, a corp wallet, the ability to turn modules on and off, and the POS field - whatever, even the ability to write in a corporate chat can be blocked. It is for the sake of gaining access to some of these functions that fraudsters come to corporations.

You should not count on the fact that you will immediately get access to the main resources of the corporation or its wallet. The hijackers have a huge income, but it often takes up to a month to establish relations with the corporation, find new victims and obtain rights. Naturally, do not forget that you will make a lot of enemies with this method.

What are contracts and how do they work?

The contract system is a player-driven mechanism for corporations and players to formalize working agreements with each other, providing an intuitive way to manage market-supported business deals. Auctions, Item Exchanges, Loans, and Courier Jobs will be the first types of contracts introduced in EVE. Contracts will be an invaluable mechanism for running a corporation, allowing tasks and missions to be created and available at any time. Skills and RolesEach (except trial users) player is initially allocated one active contract. An active contract is a contract that has not been accepted by anyone. For example, a courier mission that no one has accepted yet or an auction that has not ended at the offered price. To increase the number of active contracts, buy the Contracting skill. Create a contract

Creating a contract is very easy, but a little expensive. You will need at least 100k ISK as a refundable deposit to create a public contract. If you don't have the Contracting skill, you will only be able to create one active contract, upon completion you can create a new one. If you learn the Contracting skill, it will allow you to increase the number of contracts placed. You don't have to be docked in a station to create a contract, but the item you want to list in a contract needs to be in your hangar at any station.

1. Selecting the type of contract

To create a contract, click the Contracts button on your neocom panel. You will see the main contract management window. Click the "Create Contract" button at the top of the window to launch the wizard. You are now on the first of the 4 "Create Contract" pages. Here you can select the type of contract you want to create and who it will be for. created for your corporation using corporate assets.

"Availability" will offer 2 options:

2. Choice of items

In this menu you choose what you will put in the contract. Choose the station where the subject of the contract is located (check the box next to the subject being exhibited). All types of contracts except Freeform have the same clause 2. In most cases, you need to select the subject of the contract. Once you select a station (and a hangar if it's a corporate contract), a list of items will appear. If you are currently in a station, then the list of items will be automatically taken from your hangar, otherwise you will have to select a station first.

By selecting several items in a stack in the hangar and right-clicking on them, you will be able to split them - "Split stack" - in order to include fewer items in the created contract. When creating a public contract from only one item, it will indicate the name and type of the item, if there are two or more items, it will indicate "Multiple Items".

Be careful. When choosing an unpacked ship you will lose insurance on it, when you create a contract, all the equipment that is in it will appear in the contract list. By placing such items in a contract, you will be warned. Once you have chosen the subject of the auction, click Next.

3. Settings

This is the last step in which you enter information. In this step you enter different information for each contract type, for the Auction field you enter the starting bid and the auction time - 1 day by default. The remaining fields are optional, although it would be nice to put a redemption (purchase price) price at the auction, and you can also enter a description of the subject of the contract in the Description field. Before creating an auction, you can examine the contracts for the price you are listing to find out the actual value of the item starting from the Base Price you can list, although it does not always reflect the actual value of the item. Auction Time ("Auction Time") - a factor affecting the amount of money that you have to pay for the contract to the broker; the more time, the more you have to pay.

4. Confirmation

Always carefully check all the information you entered before clicking Finish. For a public auction, the following fields Sales Tax, Broker's Fee and Deposit will be displayed. Broker's Fee and Deposit are deducted from your account immediately when you click Finish. Sales Tax is deducted from you if the auction was completed successfully and the Deposit is returned to you. If the auction ends unsuccessfully and no one buys your item from you, the deposit is non-refundable.

As soon as you click "Finish" the contract will be created and a window will be shown to you. You can see your contract in the "My Contracts" tab in the Contracts window. To do this, make sure that all filters are set correctly "Issued By", Owner - [Your Character Name], Status - "Outstanding", Contract Type - "Auction", then click "Get Contracts". View and accept contracts

The main contract interface is located in the "Available Contracts" tab. From here, using filters, you can select the types of contracts that interest you. If you select "Affordable" then only those contracts that you personally can accept will be shown. This might be a little unreliable for auctions since only the opening bid is used as a qualifier. Specifying a minimum price will also help you weed out unnecessary results. For example, if you buy a ship at a price of 50 million, then you will be shown the results starting from the minimum price for the contract.

Use the "Not issued by" filter to filter out unwanted people and corporations. This is a good mechanism against "spammers". You can put many corporation characters on this list by separating them with a comma. You will need to enter the first few letters of the name and system, after which you will be presented with a selection list. The same settings apply to "Issued By". Note that these two options are mutually exclusive, if you enter multiple names in "Not issued by" but when searching for contracts enter a name in "Issued by" the contract will be shown.

Contract types

There are 5 main types of contracts. Some of them are available to everyone, and some are only for personal contracts. When you create a contract, you set an expiration time for the contract. The expiry time differs for each type of contract, but the price (appr. taxes) varies depending on the expiration date.

1. Auction

This type of contract allows you to put an item (several items) up for auction, you can set it up by specifying a minimum and redemption price. You can also choose an auction expiration time of 1 day (default), 3 days or 1 week. The rest of the players cannot see exactly how much time is left until the end of your auction, they will only see X days, X hours or less than an hour "less than an hour".

When creating an auction, set realistic goals for yourself. For example, if you sell a Raven with a minimum price of 200 million ISK, it is unlikely that anyone will want to buy it, but you will not be returned the deposit.

Here 10% is the minimum rate by which you can increase the price. For example, if the starting price was 1 million, and the current price is 1.6 million, then the next minimum bid will be 1.7 million (or if a contract buyout price was specified). a bid is made, the auction is extended for another 15 minutes.

When the auction time is up, no matter what the result is, you can see it in journal->Contracts "Requires your attention". money, if there were bids (get the money). In the latter case, the deposit will be returned to you, and it will also be recorded in the history of your contracts, unsuccessful auctions are not entered in the history.

If your auction bid is the highest, you will also be informed about this in the "Requires attention" with a note about winning the Auction "You won this auction", open the contract, click "Get Items" to end the auction. The item will be delivered to your hangar (or in your corporation's Deliveries) at the station specified in the contract.

If your bet is outbid, in a contract that has not yet ended, you will also be notified via "Requires attention" in the journal. This will be marked as "You have been outbid", opening the contract will allow you to place a new bid. If your bid was outbid or you lost the auction then the amount you staked will be returned to the wallet, warnings will appear in the "Requires attention" log until the auction ends or you refuse it (right click on the contract) "Dismiss".

Public auctions are only available in the region in which they were created. If you started participating in an auction, but then left the region and your bid was outbid, you will have to go back to continue participating in it further.

You can always keep a list of the auctions you are currently participating in by selecting "Bid on By" in the magazine's interface.

2. Item exchange

This type of contract gives you the opportunity to exchange your item and/or money for another item and/or money. When you create this type of contract, you choose what you want to sell. Even if you do not want to sell anything, you will still need to specify the station where the player who took your contract will leave the item of interest to you.

It is possible to set a contract for 1 day, 3 days, 1 and 2 weeks.

You can offer money or receive money and an item, but not both. For example, you can trade in a Raven for a Megathron for an additional 5 million ISK. You can also use this type of contract to purchase an item. For example, in this type of contract, you can offer 95 million ISK in exchange for Raven. Remember, when you list your ship in this contract, its insurance will be canceled, no matter how your contract ends.

3. Courier contracts (Courier)

You can create a Courier contract type to have someone move the item(s) for you. The item(s) will be placed in a box that the contractor agrees to deliver from point A to point B. For delivery, you set a reward in case of successful delivery and a deposit if the goods are not delivered to cover your costs. But there is a limit of 120 thousand m3 per courier delivery, so the contractor will be able to look into your package and potentially steal your package, but he will lose the deposit. It is necessary to set a deposit in such a way as to cover losses in case of unforeseen loss of the parcel.

It is possible to set this type of contracts for 1 day, 3 days, 1 and 2 weeks.

You can set the period during which the contractor will be obliged to deliver your cargo after the acceptance of the mission. Once the time has expired, as a result you will be able to click - failed - "Fail" - at any time. Note that this does not mean that the contract was automatically unsuccessful, and you can give the contractor some extra time if you agree with him.
It does not matter who the contract was with a corporation or a player, the contractor needs to have the package in his personal hangar before clicking to complete the contract.

4. Loan

You can lend money and/or items to any player, corporation, or alliance. You can set both the price and the deposit that will be charged to the contractor who agreed to "Money Lent". You can also choose to borrow money or set a deposit, but not both. This is done in such a way as to reduce confusion, because by setting a deposit and lending money, the whole process loses all meaning.

You can lend the total amount of ISK by setting up this type of contract, but remember that you will be charged the amount when the transaction is confirmed, not completed. For example, if you lend someone 10 million and agree to accept 100,000 as payment. So the contractor will receive 10 million when agreeing to this contract (100 thousand are withheld immediately) he will have to return 10.1 million when the contract is completed. You will not be able to establish any kind of deposit with money loans, so think about how much you trust this person when lending money. Also, this type of contract, once created between two individuals, will not be displayed in the contract history.

You can also lend items you own, ranging from minerals to fully equipped ships.

If you make a loan with a ship as the subject, all modules installed on it will be usable after the transaction is completed. It is very important to note that by giving an insured ship as a loan, you will not receive insurance compensation, if the ship is lost (destroyed) while it is on loan, the contractor will receive insurance as well as the main insurance payment for the lost ship.

However, if your corporation lends an insured ship to any character in a corporation or another corporation in your alliance, the corporation will receive the insurance payout and the contractor will receive nothing. This means that if the ship was destroyed, and the corporation that gave the loan, will receive an insurance payment. Therefore, the corporation could take a deposit below the cost of the loaned ship, taking into account the price of insurance and the price of installed equipment. This may apply between corporations under certain arrangements. This action is not acceptable to landed corporations outside of their alliance!

If any item (any equipment installed on the ship) is lost during the loan period, the contractor can replace it with a similar one. For example, a Cruise Missile Launcher that was installed on a loaned ship was installed on another ship or lost, then the contractor needs to buy a new one and install it on the ship and thus "Complete" the "Complete" loan contract, but if the Raven contract was lost the contractor will not be able to complete the contract.

Copies of blueprints cannot act as a loan, but originals can be used, but the corporation that receives this blueprint will be able to make copies.

It is possible to set this type of contracts for 1 day, 3 days, 1 and 2 weeks.

5. Free form (Freeform)

Free form contracts can be created for both individuals and corporations. Free form contracts can be used to manage your corporation.

When creating a free contract type, you can set both a reward and a pledge. When the contract is accepted, the bond (if any) is withheld from the contractor and kept in a safe place). Once the contractor marks the contract as "Completed Successfully", the bond is returned to the contractor and the reward is paid. However, if the creator of the contract marks the contract as "Failed", they will receive a deposit and return the money they indicated in the reward.

The trust relationship is entirely one-way in this type of contract. The creator has full control over the contract. The contractor can mark the contract as "Finished" , but this is not exactly the case until the contract creator confirms it.

Therefore, be careful when accepting such contracts from people you do not know.

Freeform contracts basically have only a block of text and filling it out is a tedious task, for those who create a large number of repetitive contracts to write them over and over again, save your contract template in notepad, after which you can copy it to a new contract. It's good to have a few templates for managing their corporation's contracts.

Rules for placing items in contracts

  • You cannot list damaged items in any contract type
  • If you put an insured ship up for auction or in the Item Exchange, the insurance will be canceled
  • The borrower may be returned identical equipment that was occupied except for the ships

Availability, Visibility and History (Availability, Visibility and History)

Contracts can be both public and created for a specific person, corporation, alliance. You can create a contract with any item located in any of your hangars in the EVE universe

Public
Public contracts are region-based and can only be accessed within a region (staking). Once the contract is completed (for example, a public auction won), the contract will become visible in your contract history;

Personal (Private)
If the contract was for a specific persona, he and the creator will be able to review that contract (the rep can override the contract if he chooses). The player can consider and accept the contract regardless of the region. The representative may accept the contract directly or on behalf of their corporation.

Corporation Contract
A contract that is for a corporation can be accepted by anyone in the corporation or by the corporation itself. Each member of the corporation will be able to see the contract while it is valid. If you leave the corporation, you will no longer have access to this history. If you want the contract to be accepted only by the corporation, appoint one of your Contract Managers to do this, he will be able to accept this contract on behalf of your corporation.

Alliance
You can assign a contract to your alliance, which works just like a corporation, except that every member of every corporation that belongs to the alliance will be able to review this contract.

Journal (The Journal)
The journal is an important tool for anyone involved in contracts. From there, you will be able to view all the contracts that are in progress, that you or your corporation are involved in, or are currently running. You can also see a list of all contracts that require your attention.

If your personal contract or any of your corporation's contracts has expired, needs your attention or ended, it will be shown at the bottom of the Contracts table in the Journal interface. Clicking on this link will show you the entire list of contracts requiring your attention ).

There are several different contract states that will show up in the "Requires Attention" list that requires your attention.

Contract Expired
The contract interested no one and is no longer visible to others. You will have to remove it, this applies to all types of contracts.

Overdue
This applies to loans, courier and free form contracts. A number of days have passed since the time allotted for the contract expired, but the contractor did not mark it as completed. The contractor can click on the contract in the log and Finish it if it meets the criteria. It may also NOT (Fail) do so. Auction has finished
The auction creator will see this message when the contract has been successfully completed. You must open the contract and click Get Money to complete the contract.

You have been outbid on an auction
If you are in the same region as the auction, you can set a new price, or you will have to fly to the region where the contract is located.

You have won an auction
The auction has ended (expired or you have redeemed) and you haven't received the item yet, open the contract and click Get item(s) "Get Items" to complete the contract.

Taxes and deposit (Taxes and Deposit)
The base price of the contract is the maximum price and reward. Only public contracts are subject to these fees with the exception of Broker's fee, which is a fixed 10,000 ISK for personal contracts. Auction taxes are levied a little differently, as the final price is not determined until the auction ends.
The base price for the auction is the starting price, reward for courier contracts, and the highest reward and price for item exchange and loan contracts.


There are three types of fees for contract creators:

Security Deposit (Deposit)
This is 1.0% of the base price, the minimum security deposit is 100 thousand maximum 10 million. If the contract has been completed, the security deposit is returned. If the contract expires or you delete it, you will lose this deposit.

Brokerage fee (Broker's Fee)
This is 0.4% of the base price starting from a minimum of 10k and a maximum of 10m. It is withheld when the contract is created and this fee is non-refundable. The Broker Relations skill reduces the collection fee by 0.02% per level of this skill. So at level 5 of this skill you will have to pay 0.3% Brokerage Fees. This skill also affects the deposit margin and lowers it too. So at level 5 of this skill, with the maximum collection of money, you will have to pay 7.5 million.

Contract Expiration Time
