Friction clutches

Friction clutches are made in one-way and two-way design. The main dimensions of the couplings are given in the MN 5656-65 standard. The connection to the shaft of the movable sleeve is carried out by keys or splines. The outer discs are installed in the grooves of the included parts, and the inner discs are installed in the grooves of the shaft. Due to the compression force, the frictional connection between the discs and the transmission of torque are carried out.

The choice of the clutch is carried out according to the transmitted torque.

Check the specific pressure on the surface of the discs

р = 12 · к · Т n / ((D 2 3 –D ext 3) · π · z · f) ≤ [p],

where k = (1.3 ... 1.5) is the safety factor;

k = (2 ... 3.5) - safety factor for agricultural machinery;

T n, N · m - torque transmitted by the coupling (nominal);

D vn ·, D 2, mm - disc diameters;

z = (n-1) is the number of friction pairs;

n is the number of disks;

f = (0.06 ... 0.08) - coefficient of friction of hardened discs;

[p] = (0.5 ... 0.6) MPa - permissible specific pressure when operating in oil;

Calculate the force of compression of the discs when transmitting torque

F comp = 2 k T n / (0.5 (D 2 + D vn) z f), N

where T n, N · m is the torque transmitted by the coupling (nominal);

D vn ·, D 2, m - disc diameters;

Calculate the force required to move the sleeve in the axial direction

F os = F comp h / (b ctg (α + ρ) -s), N

Gear couplings are designed to connect coaxial horizontal shafts with angular, radial and axial displacements when transmitting torque from 0.71 to 250 kN · m.

It is a movable joint capable of compensating for angular deviations (for example, friction clutches are inadequate for this). Design toothed couplings consists of two toothed cages, which are connected by bolts, and two toothed bushings, which are inserted into these cages. On clips gear couplings lids with cuffs are also installed. The shafts to be connected are pressed into the holes of the bushings, and the teeth of the bushings (inserted into the cages) mesh with the teeth of the cages. Thus, the transmission of torque to gear couplings ... Caps with cuffs are used to protect the internal parts (teeth) from dust, debris, water. They also help keep the lubricant inside. toothed couplings .

The gear couplings themselves MZ have a high load capacity, which means that they can be used in a fairly wide range of angular velocities and moments. By operating conditions gear couplings not too whimsical. Usually they can withstand up to a day of continuous operation, and for a longer period it is necessary to make short, periodic stops. gear couplings can rotate in any direction with a maximum rotation speed, which must not exceed the speed specified by the manufacturer. Common application gear couplings is a connection of long shafts, for example for conveyor belts. And besides the mentioned alignment compensation, gear couplings are used for automatic control of mechanisms, and also perform some safety functions.
