What is the name of the object that catches butterflies. Let's move on to the process.

For some people, catching butterflies is considered a specialty. They are called entomologists. The main task of these specialists is to catch insects for further research. You can not hunt these beauties for fun, not only out of pity, but also because they are considered one of the main components of nature.

What to hunt?

Before catching butterflies, you need to know that there is no need to catch adults. You can collect caterpillars. First, they are much easier to catch. Secondly, a person has the opportunity to track the process of reincarnation of a caterpillar into a butterfly. It is also worth considering that in some reserves and state parks it is not allowed to catch these insects. It is best to do this in your own garden or on a personal plot.

How do you catch butterflies? Of course, one of the most common options is to use a net. It is desirable to make it with your own hands so that it has a rounded bottom, due to which the likelihood of harming the insect will be minimal. However, even catching butterflies with this method in certain places requires the permission of responsible persons.

How to hunt?

Everyone knows how butterflies are caught. For this you need a good quality net. But you should not buy them in the store, as they are usually a children's toy that is not quite suitable for this purpose. The net should have a wide rim so that the butterfly can easily enter it. But the rim should not be too wide either, as there may be inconvenience in handling the tool. Also, the net should be wide enough so that air resistance does not complicate the movements of the net. It is desirable that he had a fairly strong handle.

It is necessary not only to know how to catch butterflies, but also to follow certain rules:

  1. Choose a suitable place for fishing. As a rule, butterflies can be found in clearings and lawns. An excellent option is a personal plot, if any. In order to attract these insects, you can plant plants that will interest them.
  2. Try to find butterflies sitting on flowers. Of course, you can catch them on the fly, but it will be much more difficult to do this.
  3. In order not to frighten the insect, you need to carefully and calmly approach it from behind. When approaching the butterfly as close as possible, it is necessary to throw a net on it. It is desirable to do this quickly so that the captive cannot escape.

A person should think before catching butterflies. For what purpose does he need it? Do not forget that these are living beings and it is not necessary to deprive them of their existence for the sake of fun.

Catching butterflies for light

There is another way to catch butterflies, the name of which is light traps. This method is intended for catching nocturnal insects. Light is a great trap. I have been catching butterflies for a long time and have been actively used in their practice by experienced entomologists. If you choose the right fishing period, there is a chance that after a few hours there will be a large number of insects in the stains (not just butterflies). The advantage of this method lies in its simplicity. You can make such a trap yourself. The main thing is to have the necessary tools.

Now you know how to catch butterflies. What are the methods called - this is a net and a light trap. When used correctly, both devices are quite effective.

Diurnal, and often nocturnal butterflies are caught with a net. This main means of fishing should be as reliable as possible. Probably, every collector can remember with pain how, due to a seemingly insignificant malfunction of the net, which manifested itself at the most crucial moment of the gambling "hunt", a rare butterfly was missed.

The length of the stick of the net depends on the place of catching and the height of the flight of butterflies above the ground. Usually nets with a handle length of about a meter are used. However, in the rainforest, in order to catch high-flying morphids and some other butterflies, one has to use a net with a stick up to 3-4 m. In this case, telescopic, sliding structures are used. Some catchers prefer multi-link handles. When walking on steep mountain slopes, it is convenient to use a net with a strong aluminum stick, which can be leaned on like an alpenstock.

The capture of a butterfly is perhaps the most important stage of collecting. A butterfly net is often caught in flight. For it to be in the net, the catcher needs maximum composure. After all, failure can become irreparable - suddenly such a butterfly will never meet again!

If the butterfly was not caught with the first swing of the net and the net passed very close, the insect usually runs away in about a second, and before that it rushes about the catcher, sharply changing the direction of flight. A butterfly behaves in the same way when a bird attacks it. For those moments while the butterfly is rushing around, we must again try to catch it.

A butterfly sitting on the ground, stones or a low single plant should be sneaked up so that the shadow of the catcher does not fall on it. It is necessary to approach slowly and smoothly: it is sensitive to any movement. Grab the bottom of the net with your free hand and lift it up. And then, without wasting time, with a swift throw of the net forward and down, they cover the butterfly. If the insect sits on a tall flower or the end of a branch, it is caught by a sharp movement of the net from the side.

As soon as the butterfly is in the net, and if the rim is not pressed to the ground, immediately turn the stick along the axis to bend the bag so that it cannot fly out.

Often used nets with a folding rim, which fits into a small bag and even a pocket.

The net consists of a mesh on a metal rim attached to a bamboo, metal or glass-textolite stick. The mesh is sewn from nylon or nylon soft fine mesh tulle. The edge of the net is sheathed with a net rim made of wire 4-5 mm thick. The diameter of the rim is from 30 to 60 cm, for catching most butterflies, a diameter of 50 cm is optimal. The depth of the net should be 2 times the diameter of the rim so that the bend formed when the stick is turned does not allow the caught butterfly to fly out of the net and does not hamper its movements. The ways of attaching the net hoop to the handle can be different. The most convenient and reliable fastening is with the help of a screw, which is screwed into the internal thread of the pocket inserted into the end of the stick.

Entomological stain

Entomological stain - a glass or plastic jar with a wide neck and a tightly fitted cork. The jar is about a quarter filled with compressed cotton wool soaked in chloroform or ethyl acetate. Ethyl acetate, although flammable, is preferred over the more toxic chloroform. Potassium cyanide stains are very effective - several of its crystals are placed on the bottom of the jar and filled with gypsum. Once charged, this hermetic stain will be effective for a year. But potassium cyanide is extremely poisonous, it can only be purchased and used with special permission.

Then, very carefully, so as not to damage, distill to the end of the bag and, when she folds her wings, squeeze her breast with thumb and forefinger. After that, for reliability, the insect can be placed in the stain for about ten minutes.

It is advisable to have several stains so that small and fragile butterflies are placed separately from large and strong ones.
The effectiveness of the collection can be increased by using baits: fruits fermented in a sugar solution - for diurnal butterflies; a mixture of sugar, molasses and rum - for night. The resulting mixture is smeared with tree trunks, fence posts, etc. in the evening.

However, it is best to catch moths with an artificial light source. Many insects fly on a warm cloudy night, sometimes even with a slight drizzle. Usually, mercury quartz electric lamps are used, in the spectrum of which a significant proportion of ultraviolet radiation is used, which especially attracts moths. In street lighting lamps, in order to increase the proportion of ultraviolet radiation, a glass shell coated with a phosphor is sometimes broken. These lamps can only be connected to the household network through a choke.

Small and medium-sized butterflies sitting on reflective screens are covered, without touching the wings, with an open stain, where they fall. Then the stain is immediately tightly closed. Very large individuals are carefully taken with two fingers or covered with a net on the screen and dropped into the net with a light touch of the rim. After that, the insect is euthanized by injecting a drop of ethyl alcohol, ethyl acetate or a strong aqueous solution of ammonia into the chest with a syringe.

The dead butterfly is placed in a special paper bag, on which they write the date and place where the specimen was found. If this happened in the mountains, then additionally indicate the height above sea level.

Entomological mattress

The caught butterfly, provided with a label, is placed in an entomological bag. Instead of entomological bags, cotton pads 5-7 mm thick can be used. Butterflies laid on cotton wool are covered with a paper label sheet, on which the time and place where they were caught are recorded. The collections of different days and from different places on the mattress are separated by a thread, and on the sheet - by a line.

Closed mattresses and bags are folded into tight boxes. To prevent mold from appearing on butterflies - and this often happens during prolonged rains - bags with a desiccant - zeolite are placed in boxes and crushed streptocide or naphthalene is poured, which protects the collected specimens from pests.

So that the butterflies are not damaged by contact with the lamp, a screen of white matter with an area of 1.5-2 mg is hung at a distance of 50-100 cm from it. It is advisable to put a white cloth on the ground under the lamp - a reflector. The screen material should not be treated with bleach as it absorbs ultraviolet rays. The lamp is usually placed at a height of 1-1.5 m and only occasionally - above the collector's head. You can work near a source of hard ultraviolet light only in colorless or tinted glasses - to protect your eyes from burns. In this case, you still should not look at the lamp and be closer than a few meters from it, and it is recommended to approach the screen only if necessary.

Such summer entertainment as catching butterflies can hardly be called humane. Any touch on a butterfly will injure it, especially its wings. You should not catch butterflies just for the sake of it, unless it is related to the need to study insects. Most people have been catching butterflies. Run around a hot meadow in summer, cover a bright butterfly with a net, carefully take it by the wings - in this way touch nature. But is it good? There are people who deal with butterflies and other insects professionally. They are called entomologists. Such specialists know how to properly handle fragile creatures. Entomologists sometimes catch butterflies to build up the collection needed to study different species. But scientists will never catch insects for fun. You can see collections of butterflies, for example, in local history museums. Take a close look at the wings. They are covered with tiny scales. It is thanks to the scales that the color of butterflies is so elegant and iridescent. If you unceremoniously take a living butterfly with your fingers by the wings, then multi-colored pollen will remain on your hands. These are scales from the wings. An injured butterfly is harder to fly. She will most likely live less than she could, or even die almost immediately. The age of butterflies is generally very short. Others live only a few hours, they are called "one-day" ones. Others live longer. There are butterflies that are able to overwinter. But anyway, the life cycle of these insects is short. Everything in nature is interconnected and balanced. If there are suddenly fewer butterflies, the birds that feed on insects will receive less food. There will be fewer birds - pests will breed in forests and fields. It is not worth breaking for the sake of a momentary triumph what can please the eye and heart again and again. Protecting nature, a person builds his prosperous future. Sophisticated anglers are looking forward to the arrival of the summer season in order to go to the reservoir with pleasure. After all, it is in the summer months that large and small fish are successfully caught. If you have recently joined the fishing tribe and do not feel completely confident in a pond with tackle, arm yourself with useful tips and tricks. After all, fishermen are not born, they are rather made.

  • - telescopic rod;
  • - reel with fishing line;
  • - sinker;
  • - bait.
From the point of view of experienced anglers, only the end and beginning of the summer period can be considered a favorable time when you will undoubtedly enjoy fishing, and not being in the bosom of nature. The rest of the time, you can only count on irregular outbreaks of biting, caused by the peculiarities of the life of fish and atmospheric phenomena. It is preferable to fish in the early hours (before noon) and in the evening (after five o'clock until dusk). Regardless of the time, you can try to cast the line after a thunderstorm or heavy rain. The results may make you very happy. If you are a beginner angler, then your goal is to catch at least some fish. To gain self-confidence and fill your hand, start by catching ordinary minnows. To do this, you will need a simple float rod and dung worms as a bait. Maggot or bloodworm is perfect. Choose a shallow place with a sandy smooth bottom and a fast current (this can be a spit or a rapid near a bridge). The main condition is that the bait must be dragged along the bottom with the help of the current. At the first bite, make a timely cut and remove the fish from the water. Some types of fish are very fond of swimming in muddy water, so if it is warm, go up to your knees and raise the muddy. This type of fishing is quite exciting and is usually rewarded with fat minnows. By the way, chub and bream prefer to swim in muddy water. In late July-early August, without bait and food, you can catch excellent specimens of chub, asp, bleak and rudd in a simple way that will require maximum reaction and minimum equipment from you. You will need a long rod (telescopic) with throughput rings, equipped with an inertial reel of line, a medium hook and a sinker. Use butterflies, grasshoppers, or even small frogs as baits. Put the bait on the hook so that you can hook with confidence even with the slightest bite. This method is practiced near locks and hydroelectric power stations, on streams, rivers and other bodies of water. The bait falls into the water and is carried away by the current, winding the fishing line from the drum. When you release or when winding the fishing line, strong bites in the form of a sharp blow can follow. Crucian carp is one of the most common and unpretentious fish in the country's inland waters. Unlike carp or carp, it is much less fastidious and shy, its fishing is quite accessible even to novice anglers. But in order to catch a large crucian, you need to know the features and subtleties of its fishing.

  • - fishing gear;
  • - bait;
  • - bait;
It is possible to catch crucian carp in some reservoirs even in winter, but the best period is from the end of April - the beginning of May until the first autumn frosts. There are no special requirements for gear, you can successfully catch crucian carp with an ordinary float rod, not forgetting that the thinner the gear, the more bites occur. But the place of choice of fishing should be approached very carefully. One of the best options is to choose a suitable location on a pond with a reed-covered shore. A small clearing in the reeds is needed, allowing you to cast a fishing rod. It can be prepared by mowing the desired area. Despite the fact that the reeds on the sides of the clearing can interfere with the playing of fish, the probability of catching large carp in such a place is higher than in an open area of the reservoir. The crucian likes to swim along the thickets of reeds, so it will often go out to the mowed area, where a baited hook will be waiting for it. Best of all crucian pecks early in the morning and in the evening. In the place of fishing, it is necessary to throw not too plentiful bait. Remember that it should not saturate the fish, but stimulate its appetite. The depth at the place of fishing should be at least one and a half meters, since it is difficult to catch a large carp at a shallower depth, it usually comes out in shallow water only at night. To catch crucian carp, you can use the most common bait - for example, an earthworm, on which crucian successfully peck from the beginning of spring. Bloodworms and maggots are even better. When fishing for maggot, the sting of the hook can be left open. Pierce the larva closer to the head, it is better to put several pieces on the hook at once. The best quality is maggot grown on meat. Despite the fact that crucian carp can take a variety of baits, they must be chosen correctly. On one day, crucian carp can perfectly take on an earthworm, and on the other, on the same pond, it will prefer bloodworms or maggots. Sometimes it can be successfully caught on different types of dough prepared with aromatic additives. You can add vanillin, various oils - sunflower, hemp, anise. To catch a large crucian, it is necessary to observe complete silence. You can not talk loudly, knock, walk along the shore. Clothing must be khaki. When playing fish, try to do it as carefully as possible, use a landing net. It is advisable to keep the caught fish not in a cage, but in a container with water on the shore. In many reservoirs, carp fish are common. The fish hides in wide, deep areas where there is standing water or a weak current. If the bottom is solid, not rocky, then it can hide there. Carp prefer overgrown reservoirs with warm water. It is necessary to catch carp in the summer in shallow water, and when the water warms up very much, it hides in the creeks. You can find it in deep pits, ponds overgrown with vegetation, and old channels.

The most convenient time for carp fishing is when he is busy looking for food. In summer, from June to August, carp stay shallow, about 2-5 meters under water, and when the water cools down in autumn, the fish sinks to a depth of 10 meters, and even deeper by the beginning of winter.

It is better to catch carp from May to October, and in some reservoirs until November. Favorable for catching carp cloudy but warm weather, mild wind blowing in the southwest or southeast direction and decreasing atmospheric pressure. There is also a high probability of good fishing in the period 12-24 hours before the weather improves. You can catch this fish during the day. A light breeze that covers the water with ripples will favor you if you fish for carp in creeks, quarries, pits, reservoirs. If the wind has increased, you should look for carp in the place where the waves run into the shore.

To catch carp, the following gear is used: floating bait, unloaded fishing rod. Whether to use sinkers and a float or not depends on where you are fishing. At the very day, the float and sinker should be used, and you can fish with a loaded rod without them.

At the beginning of summer, carp willingly bite on earthworms; in the middle of summer, use potatoes, any pasta, bread, corn, peas, legumes. To increase the likelihood of successful fishing, we advise you to roam carp in certain places. As a bait, any cereals, boiled potatoes, hemp cake are perfect. If you plan to fish in the evening, then fall asleep the bait in the morning or evening the day before. Carp is a cautious fish, it is distrustful and extremely changeable in places of feeding. Fish can be easily spooked by sloppy behavior, loud noises or a bait that is not suitable for carp. Successful fishing is guaranteed by moderate, regular feeding. Another nuance is that top dressing and bait must always match, otherwise the carp will not take the bait. Carp takes the bait very quickly, so the carelessness of the fisherman can result in the loss of not only the catch, but also the tackle. Be sure to stock up on a net, without which it is extremely difficult to catch carp. The intensity of biting depends on many factors: the time of year, water temperature, the presence of a current, the size of the bait, and even the size of the carp. River fish take the bait quickly, and carp living in the pond quietly, almost imperceptibly. Hungry big fish bite harder. And a well-fed carp only slightly touches the float, in some cases the bite of such a fish is very similar to the behavior of a bream.

Catch the ball - such a skill is necessary for team games. Having confidently mastered the ball on the run, the player can immediately move on to the attack, subsequent transfer, dribbling or throwing. In games such as basketball or volleyball, before catching the ball, the player is already planning where and to whom he will pass it. The choice of how to catch the ball depends on the position of the person in relation to the flying ball, the speed and altitude of the flight. All methods of catching the ball combine three main phases: preparatory, main and final. The simplest and, most importantly, reliable way is to catch the ball with both hands at once. Preparatory phase

If the ball flies in your direction at head and chest level, extend your straight arms forward towards it. Tighten your fingers and hands, give them the shape of a basket, larger than the diameter of the ball. If the ball flies below chest level, tilting the body slightly forward, crouch a little deeper, lowering the height of the shoulders to the level of receiving the ball. Lean forward towards the flying ball.

Main phase

When receiving the ball, grasp it with your fingers, but not with your palms, squeezing between your hands. When catching the ball, gently bend your arms at the elbow joints. This will be a cushioning movement that will absorb the impact force.

Final phase

Having received the ball, hold it in your arms bent at the elbows, torso slightly forward. If necessary, the ball can be protected from being tackled by an opponent with outstretched elbows.

To practice catching the ball correctly, use a simple exercise - throwing the ball on the floor or against the wall and catching after the rebound. These exercises will allow you to develop an "understanding" of the behavior of the ball, learn how to hold it correctly, control the position of your body, head and reaction. Another type of training is to catch the ball and then pass it in pairs in a standing position, and then with a running partner. Common mistakes when catching the ball: - arms pressed to the chest, bent at the elbows (the ball is caught only with straightened arms, already bending them in the process of contact); - the hands are not open to receive the ball; - standing in a column without moving towards the ball and on absolutely straight lines legs; - the ball is caught on the chest or pressed against the chest;

The athlete does not concentrate on the ball, releases it from the field of view.

When fishing for crucian carp, you can catch a big catch if you have good gear, use bait for fish depending on the season and choose the right baits. Thoroughly prepare for catching carp with a bait, and then you will be successful in fishing.

Choose a place to fish for carp. Its various species are found both in swampy and artificial reservoirs, and in lakes and rivers. Pick up the shore of the reservoir so that the sun is behind you when you sit on it. The place for fishing should be quiet, because crucian carp is a very cautious fish. Pick up a fishing rod and tackle. Purchase a float or bottom fishing rod, the design of which can be any. You can use a rod up to three meters long. You need to equip it with a spinning reel and a thin and strong line at the same time. When you prepare float gear, please note that you need to pick it up in such a way that no more than one third of it is above the water. The hook is better to put a small size. Get bait and bait for crucian carp. He can be quite picky, so treat the preparation of bait with special care. You can use as bait, for example, a mixture of cake, well-fried in a pan, hercules and millet porridge. In addition, mashed boiled potatoes, soaked crackers and various cereals are suitable. Pick up a bait, for example, use insects from the reservoir in which you catch fish, worms, dough or maggots. Get ready for fishing. Before catching crucian carp, you should not use perfumes. A strong foreign smell can scare away fish. Wear clothes appropriate for the season and the weather. Take care to protect yourself from moisture. Choose the right time for fishing, for example, early morning, and start fishing. Feed the fish, bait and cast your line. When the crucian begins to peck, keep the line tight. Smoothly bring your future catch to the shore, and then use landing nets. Path, or otherwise roach, is considered one of the most common fish that inhabit lakes and rivers. Her body is covered with silvery scales that shimmer in the sun with all the colors of the rainbow, and her fins have a bright red color, similar to the rudd. Soroga is very unpretentious, able to survive even in sea bays. But not every novice angler knows how to catch roach in the winter season.

  • - winter fishing rod;
  • - fishing line;
  • - sinker;
  • - nod;
  • - mormyshka;
  • - drill;
  • - slotted spoon;
  • - nozzle.
With the onset of cold weather, the path moves to a depth. The fish keeps near the pits, underwater cliffs, near the riverbed and whirlpools. A few days after the formation of ice, the winter biting of roach begins, it is caught throughout the winter, but it is better on the first and last ice. A rod for winter roach fishing should be comfortable. Its handle should lie comfortably in the hand, made of foam or cork). Choose the thinnest equipment, because roach simply does not take a bait with a coarse mormyshka and thick fishing line. The fishing line is suitable for 0.08 millimeters, the size of the hook can vary from No. 2 to No. 4, periodically grind the sting while fishing. Mormyshka pick up depending on the conditions and depth. In the absence of currents and in shallow depths, use the smallest mormyshkas. At a slightly greater depth (4-5 meters), use medium, at greater depths - heavy. The shape of the jig should resemble some kind of aquatic organism, the color depends on the light. In dark and cloudy weather, use a light color; in clear weather, dull mormyshkas are perfect. Equip your fishing rod with an elastic and long nod, which can be made of polycarbonate, clock spring or metallized lavsan. It is best to catch a sorog on a mormyshka with a nozzle, which can be a maggot, a caddisfly or a larva of a burdock moth. Make several holes with a drill, remove snow and ice from the water with a slotted spoon. Start wiring with a planning fall of the mormyshka. Slow down every 30 centimeters of descent, thereby creating the effect of naturally falling food. This will enable the fish to notice the bait and find out the level of movement of the roach, since bites often occur in half-water. If the planning and step wiring does not work, switch to bottom fishing. The bait should break away from the bottom only by 3-5 centimeters, fall and fidget, forming a cloud of turbidity. Such movements are very tempting for the path, they imitate a swarming larva. The owl pecks in a peculiar way, mostly inconspicuously. The nod either twitches slightly or lingers for a moment. Such a bite can be safely mistaken for a hook, with any suspicious movement, a quick hook should follow. Do not rush to play a large fish, as it behaves quite actively. Collecting a collection of butterflies is not so easy. Sometimes it seems that it is enough to catch a butterfly and dry it. In fact, this is a very painstaking process, consisting of several laborious steps. Therefore, it makes sense for young entomologists to first master the methods of creating a collection and only then take up the net. Why you can't catch butterflies

Reflection Warping

Evgeny Trubitsin

Butterfly catching. The path of awareness.

I have been asked more than once why I started meditative practices and how I learned about the numerous methods of training attention. Looking back over the past years, a picture of my life began to emerge, often consisting of unusual and sometimes strange events that influenced my perception of the world. It all started in the fifth grade of high school. It was another school day that didn't really stand out. There was a physical education lesson. While warming up, we had already covered the third circle along the worn walls of a small sports hall, when by chance my eyes were attracted by a short man who approached the teacher. The man was taut and with all his appearance demonstrated vigor and health. Occasionally touching his thick black mustache, he explained something intensely and enthusiastically to the teacher. Their lively conversation distracted the teacher so much that for a few minutes he practically forgot about our existence. Later it turned out that the stranger carefully selected candidates for the athletics section from school students. It is not clear for what reasons, but his choice fell on me and my best friend.

Remembering that day, I still cannot understand the reason why I agreed to go to athletics classes - this sport did not interest me at all. But the very first meeting with the coach showed that running is only an external, the most insignificant part of the training that we had to do. The phrase with which the first lesson began I remembered for a long time, although at that time I did not fully realize it. Having gathered all the students, while forming a small circle of children of different ages and physiques, the coach said:

“Today our task is not to think, but to act. Not to describe what is happening to us, but to feel the movements and your body. From the faces of the guys, I saw that I was not the only one who found these instructions strange and incomprehensible, but later we received some clarifications.

At first, our task was to walk for a long time in a huge, empty stadium at a very slow pace, trying to feel the movement of the center of gravity, the tension in the muscles of the legs, shoulder girdle and back, and at the same time trying to constantly feel the movement of the oncoming air. About ten minutes from the beginning of the exercise, we were bored and fooling around, occasionally chuckling behind the coach's back. But later our mood began to change and step by step the mind calmed down. I noticed that the grass covering the stadium was getting brighter, and my not very good vision was constantly changing, either acquiring increased contrast and clarity, or returning to normal. Later I used a similar method to create a stable conscious state, deliberately slowing down most of my movements, trying to not miss the various sensations arising from this.

Now I understand that for almost a single day we did not do the usual exercises for athletics. And the section was just a cover for teaching various meditation practices, which at that time were treated with great distrust and apprehension.

Day by day, the tasks became more and more difficult. Now, in the process of walking, we had to be continuously aware of seven arbitrary points on the body, changing them to others every minute. Of course, this was a kind of program for the future. None of us could achieve this even after several months of hard work. Usually we were aware of only three or four points at a time and quickly switched to others. Next, the awareness of breathing was connected, but due to the fact that many of our group could not observe the inhalations and exhalations without disturbing their rhythm, this part of the task was subsequently changed. After a month, most of us had reasons to consider ourselves better than others and look at "ordinary" people with condescension. Personality was then rapidly gaining weight, pushing the childish essence to the dark backyards of our self. We were mostly proud of our stamina and the quick mind that training has made us so. But the triumph did not last long, on one cloudy, but warm summer morning, the coach did not appear, and from that day on I did not meet him again. The section broke up, classes stopped.

On the day when we were supposed to go to, as it turned out, the last workout, something strange happened. As usual, I woke up at six in the morning and periodically yawning, I went for my friend who lived in the next entrance. Quickly running up to the third floor, I rang the high-hanging bell, but there was no answer. I rang twice more and a moment later I heard a faint click on the other side of the door. After standing still for twenty seconds, waiting for the door to finally be opened, I reached out and pushed the heavy metal surface. There was no one in the vestibule and only an occasionally flashing light bulb kept me company. After waiting another minute, I opened the door to the apartment. The rooms were filled with darkness and absolute silence. Before my eyes appeared an empty apartment without the slightest rustle, without a single movement. Thoughts in those seconds left me, leaving me with a feeling of growing anxiety. I need to explain why I experienced such feelings. It was an ordinary working day. At times like these, my friend's apartment was always filled with cheerful conversations and bright lights, various preparations, and the noise of the TV being turned on. But today was completely different. Having coped with the emerging fear, I took a couple of steps into the enveloping darkness of the corridor. Silence. After a couple of moments, I was already turning to leave, when out of the corner of my eye I noticed a cloudy, black silhouette.

Butterfly Catching

Before you begin to observe false personality, you need to master one of the most important techniques - awareness of transitions. We also called it "catching butterflies." The idea is to best concentrate attention at the moment of various transitions or intermediate actions. - said the old man and completely captured my attention.

We sat in Green Island Park, across from a dirty, sluggish river, roasting in the scorching sun. The day before I was supposed to go to this meeting, an old man called me and suggested that I sometimes take outdoor classes. Of course, I agreed and an hour before the appointed time I was already there.

For example, you are about to go outside and while you are at home, it seems that attention is here, aware of its presence. But, here you put on clothes and at this moment you are distracted. Once - and already on the street and you seem to be aware of your actions again. And the moment of transition between the street and the house was lost. Or I wanted to smoke - the old man took a golden cigarette case from his pants pocket and pulled out one of the cigars. - and before I took out a cigarette, everything seems to be fine, attention is in place. But as soon as I began to bring a cigarette to my mouth and light a match - and again my attention was gone: either carried away by the action, or, more often, absorbed by thoughts. - during the story, the teacher with artistry demonstrated what was being described, but instead of lighting a cigar, he sniffed it, let out a sigh of regret and put it back.

I did something like that when I cleared my thoughts. - I said - And I noticed that the concentration of attention on any point of the body allows you to maintain the continuity of awareness longer. Without this, it is almost impossible to turn off the mind for a long time.

Yes, you're right - the old man agreed - but I'm telling you to keep attentiveness without being attached to anything: neither to the body, nor to thoughts. That is, the very moment of the transition will become a fixer. Listen carefully. We are sitting now and now we are starting to get up - the teacher got up and sat back in a second - this gap must be monitored with special diligence.

Now I will tell you how to apply this to the false personality.

All this time I listened, keeping the utmost attention to the old man's monologue.

The first thing to know is that the false personality is not one stable entity - it is the many different guises your mind can take on. Remember our first meetings. I deliberately put on a mask of insolence and tried to hurt you all the time. In this way, I tested how heavy your personality is. And if you reacted sharply, I wouldn't be able to teach you. Because the so-called people of character are not fit for the job. Their personality will never let them go against her. The old man paused and walked away for a moment. Returning five minutes later, he held an open bottle of beer in his hand, which surprised me greatly.

After taking a long sip from the neck, the teacher continued his explanation. - Today, for the first time, I speak with you as an equal, because in this work there cannot be a teacher and a student, only partners who are interested in a common cause. Now you are watching another image that does not have any pronounced features. Such guises are used more often than others, so as not to attract undue attention to themselves.

So a person can arbitrarily change their personalities? I asked and noticed that the teacher's bottle was already half empty.

Only a very prepared person. In the ordinary, they change automatically depending on the situations, the people with whom they communicate, and many other factors. But the whole problem is that a person does not remember at all that a second ago he was different. And if you say it directly to him, he will not believe it and will start to get angry. This is a typical reaction of a false personality - to deny everything, to be angry or offended.

A couple passed us: a tall guy with dark skin and a beautiful black-haired girl. Master whispered to me to better watch them and listen to their conversation.

The director said that I was more promising. Most likely they will raise me, - the guy said, apparently feeling proud. In the period we've heard from him, he's used the word "more promising" five times.

He walked slowly and majestically, like a king on a red carpet. The girl looked at him with coolness and did not really delve into the words. And he didn't shut up. But they moved away and my hearing did not allow me to listen to their conversation.

Now you have seen a very good example of immersion in yourself, or rather in your false personality. This guy walked without seeing anything around, even a beautiful girl, whom he held by the hand. And all he did was talk about himself. I don't think he's been with her for long. - said the old man with a grin and for the first time reminded me of the former teacher.

But are there many such people? - I asked, crossing my legs - I don't remember meeting such people among my classmates or acquaintances.

You haven't met them. Firstly, because he did not know anything about it, and secondly, because he himself was the same. - the old man answered and, rising, threw the bottle into the urn, located nearby.

When a person begins to work with his false personality, he learns a lot about himself. Mostly bad, if not to say - vile. And not everyone can withstand this, especially when he considered himself a role model. But if he can continue to work, he will soon gain tremendous power, because no one will be able to control him.

While the teacher was talking, some buff guy appeared in the distance. The old man stood up and when the guy almost caught up with us, he said: - Hey goat have a smoke?

The boy's face, which up to this point had expressed unsurpassed toughness, underwent a series of rapid metamorphoses. First surprise, then fear. And only then the look took should be the usual quality for him.

Old stump, do you even know who you're talking to? said the jock in a slow and drawling voice.

Oh son, I'm sorry old man, his head is not in order after the war. - the teacher said pitifully and exaggeratedly grabbed his head, which caused me a barely restrained fit of laughter.

Okay, I forgive you - the guy said and several emotions changed on his face again.

When he left, the teacher began to explain what he had seen. - Did you notice how his eyes changed when I called him a goat?

I nodded my head a couple of times and the old man continued.

At first, something unusual happened to him - a break in the stereotype of behavior. At this point, the process of adaptation began. Then the "false self" experienced fear because its image was threatened. And the image for the individual is the most important thing. Then, realizing that there was no threat, the personality returned to its original state - a pumped-up goat - the old man burst out laughing and I, unable to resist, followed him.

We laughed heartily and continued our conversation.

But get it right. One should not blame a person for being controlled by his false personality. After all, the person himself does not decide anything and is completely powerless in front of his mind. The situations that he encounters during his life mold him into a kind of random image. More precisely, several, and sometimes dozens of images. And then, when one of them powers up, it frantically defends itself against attack both real and imagined. And of course, it spends a lot of energy on it.

The old man fell silent, looked around the space and continued his story. - So, what I told you about observing the gaps will just help us in tracking the change of image. The moment when one personality is replaced by another will be the moment of transition, which must be carefully considered. When changing images, usually a person has many easily noticeable changes. The timbre of the voice, the speed of speech, gait, gestures, the words used in the conversation, the expression of the eyes - all this can be easily tracked. And when you seize this moment - just watch how the personality adapts to the changing situation. But do not try to resist, because in this way you will only increase the backlash of the “false self”.

From the information received, I was delighted, mainly because, in the middle of the conversation, the mind slipped me dozens of evidence for the effectiveness of this theory.

The old man, after a short pause, said: - In general, your task for the next week will be "catching butterflies." Hoping I've explained everything clearly? he asked softly.

Yes, very understandable, I replied, looking forward to the opportunity to practice. And then, one question came to my mind, which for some reason I did not dare to ask, and sometimes I simply forgot about it: - Can I tell my friends about what we do, for example?

In the beginning, it is better to share only the techniques and do not say where you got them from. Because you are not yet ready to correctly explain the numerous points that will necessarily arise in such work. And if you say that you came to everything yourself, they will treat it as something ordinary, not very interesting. - at this moment the teacher slapped a mosquito that sat on his neck - And thus only those who see something close in this knowledge will remain, they can then be taught without hiding anything. In the future, of course, you will have to reveal the source, otherwise you simply will not be taken seriously. After all, people definitely need a "great master," - saying this, he smiled - and some guy, also of Slavic appearance, most likely will not interest anyone, and such useful knowledge may be lost.

How lost? You said I was the seventh student. But what about the other six? I asked with interest.

Well, you give, I was just joking, and besides, I meant those who were in the hall that day. There were no students among them. - Having said this, the teacher rubbed his nose and continued - And I had only two real students all the time, but each of them after a certain progress - the old man turned his eyes to the sky and fell silent for a few seconds - went astray.

The teacher was thinking about something. We sat in silence and watched the running river.

When completing various tasks in the game, difficulties may arise that you may not expect. On the one hand, you look - you need to catch butterflies. It would seem simpler than simple, but in reality everything is not quite so. So check out some tips to help you. make it easier to complete quests.

I advise you to leave the butterflies at the very end of the work, but this is not necessary, here it is already at your discretion. Try to complete all the tasks as quickly as possible, but do not forget the proverb: “Move slowly, you will continue.” After all, we need to fulfill all the data to us tasks completely, only then will they give us silver.

Let's move on to the process.

We go to garden and start working gardener. I will not describe other actions, we will deal with butterflies. Catch a butterfly the first time it may not work out, nevertheless, though a little, but it is necessary practice and see what's what.

First, do not rush to click on the butterfly, track where and how it flies. Take the mouse to the place where it can fly, wait and click. You can also wait a bit until it will not fly slower, and then click on it.

Of course, it is difficult to achieve the maximum result immediately in Avataria, because a lot of things in the game depend on the player's experience. If it doesn't work the first time, don't be discouraged. Practice with the reaction and everything will definitely work out!

The largest of them is Queen Alexandra Birdwing, who lives in the forests of Papua New Guinea. The wingspan of this poisonous butterfly reaches 30 cm! Of course, to catch such an insect is a great success. But the bright colors and intricate patterns of almost every butterfly that lives in Russian latitudes also look like hand-painted. If you want to collect a collection of these beauties or surprise your friends with an original gift from a chest with live fluttering "flowers", then go on a butterfly hunt!

Instruction

Look for the most beautiful butterflies during the warmer months of the year. From May to August is the ideal time to choose the right specimens.

Explore the habitat of these beautiful creatures. Butterflies can be found in meadows, fields, forests, mountains. They can also be seen in gardens, near water bodies, or right outside your door.

Walk around the flower garden and look at the flowers and plants. Butterflies are attracted to nectar and are considered very important pollinators in the ecosystem. Sprinkle your hand with sugar water. Butterflies, attracted by the sweet aroma, very often sit right on the hand.

Get a butterfly net. Slowly approach a butterfly sitting on a grass or flower so that your shadow is behind you. Approach very slowly and smoothly, as the insect is sensitive to sudden movements. Pull the bottom of the net with your free hand and lift it up. Cover with a net with a swift throw butterfly. If an insect perches on a tall flower or branch, it can be caught by a sharp movement of the net from the side. Immediately bend the bag by turning the stick along the axis so that it does not fly out. Use your fingertips to pinch her breast, being careful not to break the wings, touch them or damage the beautiful surface. Place butterfly into a container with an air hole. The average butterfly lives only 2 weeks.

Night butterflies can be caught with an artificial light source. Collectors advise using mercury quartz electric lamps (with ultraviolet radiation) - they especially attract moths. Install a reflective screen. Simply cover the butterflies that have flown on it with a special open stain (or jar).

Useful advice

If you are very interested in studying these beautiful insects, consider creating a butterfly garden. Study the literature about plants and shrubs that attract butterflies the most. You may need special mosquito nets, from which you need to make a three-dimensional frame for an impromptu "butterfly room" so that they do not scatter in all directions.

Butterfly breeding is a fairly popular hobby today. With minimal effort, time and money, a caring owner can turn an ordinary apartment into a real tropical paradise - or even open a new business. These beautiful creatures are completely undemanding to the conditions of detention and can be bred anywhere - including the most exotic species.

Exotic butterfly species are the most popular for home keeping

There is an opinion that, due to their exceptional unpretentiousness, butterflies can live even in the most severe conditions - and therefore they live in all corners of the globe, with the exception, of course, of Antarctica.

Keeping butterflies at home is another reason for a good mood

What determines the lifespan of a butterfly in the wild?

The life expectancy of any butterfly in nature depends, first of all, on the species and living conditions. For example, female butterflies belonging to the family of sacs (or psyches) live for only a few days. Males often do not live even a day. This is due, first of all, to the fact that psyche butterflies, after crawling out of the pupa, cannot eat: their oral apparatus is completely reduced at the stage of transformation. The only available function for them is reproduction, for which there is not much time left.

Bag butterflies live a little more than a day

Butterflies of the hawk moth and silkworm families live a little longer: regardless of gender, their lifespan is about three days. Against this rather sad background, the cabbages that are familiar and hated by all gardeners, which can live up to twenty days, stand out favorably. Urticaria, monarch butterflies remain absolute champions in life expectancy - the life span of both of them reaches nine months in nature - as well as lemongrass, which do not die for a whole year.

How are butterflies caught?

The first thing that comes to mind when it becomes necessary to catch butterflies is, of course, a net. It is the main tool for catching these beautiful insects. At the same time, despite all the seeming simplicity of its design, the net requires some skills when handling it. The body and wings of a carelessly caught butterfly can be severely damaged, rendering it completely unmarketable and useless for collection.

Net - the most obvious tool for catching butterflies

In turn, a certain number of requirements are also imposed on the net by expert entomologists. First of all, before starting to catch butterflies, a knowledgeable user must decide on the length of the shaft. It depends directly on the place of capture and the average flight height above the ground of the target species of butterflies. For example, butterfly hunting in the rainforest often requires the use of a net with a shaft three to four meters long. For such cases, many manufacturing companies create special nets with a telescopic, folding or plug shaft made of aluminum.

For convenience, many manufacturers make nets collapsible

Technique for catching butterflies with a net

The first roll on the "hunt" is always the most important. In case of failure, the butterfly begins to act according to the standard scheme laid down in it at the level of instincts: it abruptly changes the direction of flight, rushes around the hunter for several seconds - and runs away in the opposite direction. Identical behavior is observed when attacking birds and bats. These few seconds of throwing are the last chance for the catcher to catch the noticed beauty. In addition to what has already been said, it is worth following some tips:

You should approach the butterfly very carefully, trying not to cast shadows on it. These are very sensitive insects that instantly react to any changes around.

Additional means and tools for catching butterflies

A stain is a small container with a lid made of glass or plastic. The jar contains cotton wool, previously moistened with a soporific substance.

Chloroform and ethyl acetate are most often used as sedative agents in the stain.

In order to increase the efficiency of catching, butterfly hunters often use the simplest baits:

  • rotten and overripe fruits;
  • sugar syrup;
  • various mixtures of honey, rum and sweet liquors and the like.
Molasses made from a mixture of honey and rum is the most effective bait for butterflies

Such baits are coated with areas of fences, trees, stones and similar objects that can make the butterfly freeze for a while in a position convenient for the catcher. To catch moths, in addition to sweet mixtures, artificial light sources are also used.

Often, powerful quartz lamps are used to catch moths, which emit ultraviolet light.

Keeping and breeding butterflies at home

The most important thing to consider when breeding butterflies is the conditions of detention. Even despite the fact that these beautiful insects are extremely unpretentious, the creation of favorable conditions will increase their lifespan significantly. To do this, it will be necessary to create a special zone, the microclimate of which will be as close as possible to the natural habitat of the butterfly.

The most important thing when breeding butterflies is to create a separate area with ideal conditions for them to live.

With due diligence and a careful approach, all efforts can pay off handsomely, and a small hobby can grow into a full-fledged business.

Caterpillars and moths - where they live at home

Caterpillars and moths must be kept in special aquariums, also called insectariums. Their dimensions should provide sufficient space for the full life of bred butterflies. Particularly large individuals may die if there is not enough space in the insectarium for them to be able to fly fully. In addition to sufficient space, you will also have to attend to maintaining a comfortable level of humidity and temperature. Tropical butterflies require conditions close to the jungle zone:

  • high humidity;
  • heat;
  • a sufficient amount of food;
  • enough free space.
In many pet stores today you can buy heaters and humidifiers designed specifically for use in terrariums and insectariums.

Some nuances of keeping caterpillars of tropical butterflies

If you plan to organize a full-fledged breeding cycle for tropical butterflies, you will also need to allocate additional space for a small greenhouse. It will be possible to grow tropical plants in it, which caterpillars of exotic butterflies feed on. The content of the butterflies themselves is much simpler: fruits from the supermarket and natural honey or apricot juice with sugar, diluted in water, will be enough to feed them.

It is imperative to place nails or twigs in the insectarium - you can even use card buttons by driving them into wooden parts. On the protrusions formed in this way, the caterpillars will place their cocoons, and, having transformed into a butterfly, they will dry their wings, hanging upside down. If these simple recommendations are neglected, a new butterfly is unlikely to be able to fly.

When organizing a full cycle of breeding butterflies, it is necessary to create suitable conditions for the transformation of caterpillars

Novice entomologist. How to find and collect butterflies correctly - this question is asked by all children, especially those who notice butterflies, dragonflies or grasshoppers around them. Insects surround us everywhere, but in order to catch and collect them correctly and efficiently, it is advisable to read and assimilate this article and teach this to a child.

If you are a novice entomologist and have not yet decided which species of insects attract you the most, then at first you should catch and collect all of them.

Only with time will you decide who is closer to you in spirit and be more focused. So, let's start with instructions for catching the most beautiful inhabitants of the insect world - butterflies:

When going out on a “hunt”, you should have several containers of various sizes with you: these can be jars of various products, matchboxes for smaller specimens. It is also very important to have a net with you. You can buy it at any pet store or make your own by putting gauze over an old tennis racket.

Naturally, the net from the racket must first be removed, and a stick can be tied to the handle to lengthen it. This can make fishing easier as you don't have to get close to the butterfly.

How to find and collect butterflies correctly - diurnal ones are best caught in clear sunny weather in fields with an abundance of flowering plants. Having thrown a net on the butterfly, you need to very carefully take it out and put it in a jar so as not to damage the most valuable and beautiful thing - the wings!

It is advisable to climb under the net immediately with a jar so as not to touch the butterfly with your hands. It is best to put only one butterfly in each jar - this reduces the chance of damage to the wings.

How to catch butterflies at night

As for catching moths, it is best to use the following:

Make a tincture consisting of honey, sugar and water in such a proportion that it can be easily spread in a thin layer. In the late evening, when the sun has already set below the horizon, smear a part of the tree with tincture and direct a beam of light to the smeared area.

To do this, you can use a spotlight or a table lamp, if you have access to the electrical network. If there is no access, you can use a long-range flashlight with good batteries. On such a sweet trap, the most beautiful nocturnal inhabitants - hawks fly with pleasure. Their size, by the way, can reach the palm of your hand, so it is better to have a larger container with you.

How to lull a butterfly

After the butterflies are caught and each sit in its own container, you need to get the ether. It can be found in some pet stores or veterinary services. If the ether cannot be found, then ordinary ammonia can be used instead - ammonia, which is sold without a prescription in any pharmacy.

So, open the ampoule of ammonia, pour part of the ampoule onto a cotton wool or gauze napkin and throw it into the container for the butterfly and close the lid. Depending on the concentration and amount of solution on the gauze, the butterfly will fall asleep painlessly for some time.

After she fell asleep, but had not yet had time to dry, we take her out of the container and put them on the “straightener”. You can also buy a straightener at any pet store or make your own. Instead, you can use two planks and four small weights (one for each wing).

We take out the butterfly, carefully straighten the wings so that the drawing is clearly visible, and put each pair of wings on our board so that the butterfly's body hangs in the hole between the boards. So the butterfly should be for several days until it dries. As soon as it dries, we carefully remove the weights.

Butterfly painting

Now we need to find a place where we can beautifully store insects. For this, special wooden glazed boxes are usually used. But at home it is fashionable to use ordinary candy boxes.

Take a candy box, seal the bottom with a clean A4 sheet. The butterfly can be attached to the box with special pins or, at worst, with ordinary superglue. Most often, not one, but several butterflies are placed in the box, each of which is signed on a separate small plate.

To correctly sign a butterfly, it must be identified by special entomological atlases. Such atlases can be found in any city library. But in our time there is the Internet - there you can also find out the name of the butterfly.

After the butterflies are glued, a moth pill is placed in the corner of the box so that the collection of butterflies is stored for a long time. From above, the box is tightly fitted with oilcloth and placed on a shelf. Now you can brag about your first exhibits and teach those who wish how to find and collect butterflies - day or night.

Congratulations! You have taken the first step towards a huge collection!
