Christmas tree from magazine pages

To make a cute Christmas tree from magazine pages you will need:

  • old magazine;
  • PVA glue;
  • cardboard;
  • pen or pencil.

First of all, you need to make a cone out of cardboard and fasten it with glue. Neat circles or flowers of the same diameter should be cut out from the pages of an old magazine.

The resulting circles need to wrap a pencil. Thus, they will turn out to be a little curled. Then you can start gluing the circles to the cone, starting from the bottom. The circles should be glued, pressing them tightly together so that the cone itself is not visible. You can make a small cone out of one circle and stick it instead of the top. The tree is ready.

Christmas tree made of wrapping paper

It is very easy to make a Christmas tree from wrapping paper.

For this you need:

  • wrapping;
  • cardboard;
  • Scotch;
  • scissors;
  • decorations.

As with most Christmas trees, the first step is to make a cone out of cardboard or thick paper. If the wrapping paper you are going to use is thick enough, you can make a cone out of it.

The resulting cone can be secured with tape. Then you need to cover the cone with wrapping paper. To do this, lay the paper on a flat surface with the beautiful side down. Then tape the end of the paper to the cone, and slowly turn the cone completely wrap the wrapping paper around it.

Cut off excess paper with scissors. It remains only to decorate the paper tree. To do this, you can cut stars and decorate them with sparkles, you can glue buttons, beads, tinsel, stickers or lace to the tree.

Fluffy Christmas tree made of colored paper

A Christmas tree made of ribbons of colored paper turns out to be very elegant. To independently make such a New Year's beauty you will need:

  • a cone made of thick cardboard;
  • colored paper;
  • PVA glue;
  • double sided tape.

First, you need to make a base for the Christmas tree, for this we take a thick sheet of cardboard, fold it into a cone shape, securing it with glue. Then we make thin strips of colored paper, the same length and width. Christmas trees made of green, red, silver and gold paper look very impressive. With the help of glue, glue the stripes along the edges, making loops out of them. We attach the resulting loops to one side of the tape, and attach the other side to the cone in the direction from bottom to top. Thus, it turns out a funny fluffy Christmas tree.

Herringbone is the main attribute of the New Year! A Christmas tree is set up in every house, decorated with toys, decorated with lanterns, Santa Claus and Snow Maiden are placed next to it, gifts are put under it. In a word, an elegant Christmas tree is in the spotlight during the New Year holidays! And they usually place it in the center of an apartment, a house, but what about the rest of the rooms? They also need to be decorated so that a magical New Year mood reigns everywhere! Sasha Mukhopadov will tell us how to make a Christmas tree with your own hands from the available means at all. Such Christmas trees can be placed throughout the house, even if New Year will be in every corner!

Sasha is still a very young master, only 3.5 years old, so Elena helped him. Together they made a beautiful Christmas tree from a magazine, decorated it festively, now it will also be a decoration of the house. You already know Sasha and Elena. They live in the Ukrainian city of Donetsk. They made gorgeous Christmas tree toys from thermomosaic. And another young master, Vanya, helped them to do this craft, everyone worked hard together, so the Christmas tree turned out to be wonderful!

If you don't know yet what is going on with us now children's competition Christmas crafts, then we hasten to invite you to take part in it!

How to make a Christmas tree with your own hands Sasha and Elena tell

I give the floor to Sasha's mother Elena.

To make it you will need:
- magazine - 1 piece;
- PVA glue;
- plastic modeling dough for children;
- gouache paints;
- multi-colored tinsel;
- scissors, brush.

An elegant tree from a magazine. Manufacturing procedure

First, we separated the cover from the magazine, it differs in density from the density of the magazine pages and will deform the herringbone.
We fold the pages of the magazine, according to the schematic drawing.

After several sheets prepared by me, Sasha himself continued to fold the sheets under my guidance.
After all the leaves have been folded, we have already got a Christmas tree.

To complement and decorate the Christmas tree, Sasha painted it green with gouache. Our baby Vanya was very interested in this process. He periodically distracted us by taking bright cans of paints.
When the paint dried, we thought of decorating it with colorful balls. Sasha made the balls out of dough. Sasha was again helped by his little brother in working with the dough.

From my childhood I remember only plasticine, and now children have a large selection of materials for creativity. I like the way this dough behaves at work. Does not stick to the hands, does not stain the baby's hands, as often can be seen after working with ordinary plasticine. It also has a large selection of colors, and there is definitely a place for fantasy to roam.
After Sasha made small balls-decorations, I spread some toothpaste and Sasha made a light snow on the Christmas tree with a regular dishwashing sponge.
Now it's the turn of the long-awaited moment ...
Sasha, in Lately loved our classes with scissors. And, give him free rein ... they will cut everything that is possible.
I try to direct Sasha's desires in the "right" direction, and in our classes we learn to cut along the lines that I draw specifically for the lesson, or cut out objects from ready-made coloring pages, again under my guidance.
For this, we specially purchased children's scissors.
With the help of scissors, Sasha cut the tinsel into pieces.
With PVA glue (with a spout for supplying glue), the son made droplets, and then planted the pieces of tinsel on the droplets of glue.
The main work is completed, only a little remains. Herringbone is without a star!
We return to dough modeling. Using a stencil from a creative set with dough, Sasha made a big star and dressed it up with tinsel.

On the eve of the new year, we often want to get rid of various things that have accumulated in the house. trash... However, take your time to throw out thick (or not very thick) magazines. They can find a second life, becoming a full-fledged New Year's decor - Christmas trees.

Herringbone pyramid

To make such a Christmas tree with your own hands, you will need, by and large, only a plump magazine of a format like A4 (it can be larger or smaller, the most important thing here is that the height of the magazine is noticeably greater than its width).

Sometimes for the manufacture of such Christmas trees, it is advised to choose magazines in which there are many bright big pictures... I don't think it's the only one the right decision(although this option has a right to exist), because Christmas trees with exclusively printed black-and-white "branches" and painted with spray paint will have their own charm (then it does not matter at all whether the pictures in the magazine were colored and were whether they are there at all).

My magazine has 140 pages, and that was enough for a decent lush Christmas tree... If you have thinner magazines, you can take several at once, but always of the same format (and better with paper of the same quality).

We open the magazine and begin to fold the pages one by one. First bend top right corner first page to the spine (down and to the left).

A lower right corner- until it converges with the edge of the sheet from the previous fold (left up).

Now we take right corner, and bend the magazine page one last time, connecting the corner with the spine (left down).

We continue by repeating the operations described above. with all pages of the magazine.

In order to join the magazine ("in a circle"), I glued the covers and folded them like all other pages (in the same direction). Similarly, you can combine several magazines into one tree.

I must say that the covers of my magazine were much thicker than the pages (and even folded in half), so they were noticeable among the other "twigs". But the tree can be turned to the audience with a different, more uniform side.

It took me 15 minutes to make the Christmas tree itself!

After you have made the Christmas tree-pyramid itself, as I said above, you can spray paint, you can stick or hang on paper clips (puncturing holes with a thick needle or awl) small home-made or purchased Christmas tree decorations, wrap the Christmas tree with tinsel, rain, glue over with confetti or sequins, and place a star on the top of the head.

Carved herringbone

The second way to make a Christmas tree from a magazine with your own hands is to cut it out.

We draw a template in the form of a half of a Christmas tree (the height of a magazine) on paper, cardboard or directly on the cover of a magazine.

We arm ourselves with a paper knife (in extreme cases, scissors, because this will slow down the already not fast process of making this Christmas tree) and begin to cut the outline of the Christmas tree.

If the template was made of cardboard or paper, from time to time I advise you to attach it to the page to check if it remains the same cut out contours... This advice is especially relevant if you decide to cut your Christmas tree from the same thick magazine (the spine thickness is slightly more than 2 cm), so as not to repeat my mistake.

Now we expand the magazine and get a Christmas tree self made.

Unfortunately, thick glued magazine spine did not let my tree turn 360 degrees. If you use a different type of magazine, try gluing the cover sheets together, or at least connect them with paper clips, then your Christmas tree will be equally beautiful from almost all sides.

The process of cutting a Christmas tree from a magazine took me at least an hour (not counting rest breaks, because cutting paper with a knife is not an easy task!).

In order to make your life easier, draw a Christmas tree pattern without unnecessary bends. Cutting straight lines with a paper knife is much easier!

This herringbone if desired, you can also paint with spray paint.

Such a tree can serve decoration in the office or at home, if for some reason you do not have the time, opportunity or desire to acquire a more realistic New Year's beauty.

In addition, such a Christmas tree (turned 180 degrees) can be glued to decorate to a postcard, a box with a gift,wall newspaper

You will surely come up with other ways to create and use handmade Christmas trees from unnecessary magazines.

I wish you a lot of brilliant ideas and creative success!

A Christmas tree from a magazine is a great idea for New Year's decor. Making such a craft will not be difficult, even a child can handle it. All you need is an A4 magazine, you can take a free catalog from the store. To make the tree look bright and elegant, it is better to take a magazine with bright pictures, but this is not necessary, since we will use golden spray paint.

How to make a Christmas tree from a magazine with your own hands

You will need:

  • magazine
  • glue gun
  • spray paint
  • decor (stars, beads, ribbons, beads, sequins, sequins)

How to do:

On a flat surface, unscrew the last two sheets of the magazine and fold them as shown in the photo.

Fold the rest of the sheets in the same way, gradually moving towards the first pages of the magazine. If the pages of the magazine are fairly dense, you can fold one page at a time.

After that, fold each folded page into a bag, holding the top of the future Christmas tree with your hand, as shown in the photo.

Place each page firmly against the back of the magazine.

When the tree is ready, you can proceed to painting. Spray paint from a can on the entire surface of the tree, let the paint dry.

When the paint is completely dry, you can start decorating. Use a glue gun to decorate the tree - decorate it with beads, sequins, add sparkles. The tree from the magazine is ready!
