How to print even odd pages. FAQ & Troubleshooting

On a home computer, sometimes errors occur, and now I will describe how they can be fixed.

This time I printed the book by Marian Case "Angels" directly from the Word, ticked the box there Two-side print and having printed half the book, I turned the sheets in the printer and began to print the second part of the book on the back of the paper. But this time I made a mistake and put the paper incorrectly, which caused clumsiness - the second part was printed upside down - in horror, I turned off the printer (there was still paper jammed there) and removed all printing processes in the dispatcher.

I ended up getting great amount printed odd-numbered pages of the book. How can I print the remaining even sheets? I did not find the answer in Google, and as a result I made a program that simply displays even and odd numbers for substitution in Word.

Instructions for printing odd pages.

1. Run the program:

2. Specify the desired range, select and press the button depending on which pages we need - even or odd.

3. Copy the received data and paste it into Word

4. Printing

P.S. As it turned out, everything can be done much easier - by selecting the desired item in the print:

But if printing even or odd pages in Word is easy, then in other programs such as notepad, pdf readers or other programs, there are no such items. And I hope that my program will eliminate these shortcomings 🙂

Before printing, you can preview your document and specify which pages you want to print.

Other printers include instructions that allow you to manually reinsert pages to print the second side (manual duplex printing). First, check with your printer manual or manufacturer to see if the printer supports printing on both sides of paper (duplex printing).

To find out if your printer supports duplex printing, see its user manual or contact the manufacturer. Alternatively, you can do the following:

Notes:

If your printer does not support automatic two-sided printing, you can print all the pages that should be on one side of the paper and then (when prompted) turn the stack over and reload it into the printer.

In Word, do the following:

    Open a tab File.

If your printer supports duplex printing, follow the instructions in your printer manual for duplex copies.

Notes:

If you are using a printer that is combined with a copier and the copier supports two-sided copying, then the printer probably supports automatic two-sided printing.

Many inexperienced PC users may encounter a problem - how to print a pdf. We will try to explain how to properly print a document and select the necessary settings that will be useful to each user.

PDF print options

First, you need to decide on the print settings: the choice of paper size, page numbers for printing, and other standard printing settings. To do this, select "File" > "Print". This will open a window with print options. At the top of the settings window, select the printer that will be used for printing.

Further in this window, you can specify the page numbers that need to be printed, this may be necessary if only part of the document is needed. If printing was interrupted so as not to print the entire document from the beginning, the interval of pages to be printed is indicated. This is done using the "-" sign, for example: 10-58. You can also print random pages. In this case, page numbers are written using the "," sign.

Print PDF

When printing the entire document, "all" is automatically selected in the settings. If you need to print an image, then first use the "Snapshot" tool - select the necessary fragment on the page, and then select "File" > "Print". In the print options, criteria such as "only even" and "only odd" are possible.

When one of the criteria is selected, printing will be performed through the sheet, that is: even pages - 2,4,6,8 and so on, odd pages - 1,3,5,7. If you select the criterion - "in reverse order", the printer will print the document from its last page. The print settings also make it possible to print on both sides of the sheet, make it a booklet or a poster. To do this, check the box next to the appropriate printing method.

Having decided how to print a pdf document, you must click the "Print" button and get a printed document.
