At a resident of Zhodino Svetlana six months ago, daughter Tamara was born. For six months, the young mother learned how to distribute the money of the monthly childcare allowance so that she was enough for everything she needed. Daughter is breastfed. In order for milk to be full, I have to eat meat and meat every day. By the way, I did not even expect to eat on the benefit myself. My daughter is growing up, and we already have complementary foods. If there is no allergy (and this is very rare among modern children), then you can buy baby cereals from 32,000 per box, which will last for about 10 days. But you won't feed your child with the same porridge, so you have to buy three or four boxes with different compositions per month. If a child has an allergy, then dairy-free cereals are recommended. The doctor advised us not to consume cow's milk, we buy goat's milk (30,000 rubles per liter, a private trader brings it home to us). We cook porridge with this milk for two days.

Ready-made vegetable purees are 15-17,000 rubles for one jar, for one day. One bottle can also be bought for a supplement to the allowance.

It seems to me that the benefits we receive do not include clothes for the baby. Relatives gave us a lot of outfits, but the girl also really wants to buy a new one, - says Svetlana.

A cotton suit for a six-month-old child costs about 70,000 rubles

Vaccinations can be done free of charge, but the doctors themselves advise those that cost 600,000 rubles, and up to a year you need to get three of them.

“This is the first time we are holding such a complex meeting,” says Marina Kukhto, head of the Zhodino department of the registry office. - As a rule, we meet with pregnant women in the antenatal clinic. This time we decided to communicate in the fresh air.

The mothers-to-be listened to the doctors' advice on comfortable loungers.

“We told the pregnant women how to properly attach the baby to the breast, about the hygiene of the mammary gland, as well as about the problems women face in the postpartum period,” said Anna Mosina, acting head of the antenatal clinic of the Zhodino Central City Hospital. - The expectant mothers themselves were interested in whether it is possible to use a breast pump, how to express correctly, and many others.

And the trainer of the Zhodino youth center had a physical training session. She told and showed how to get rid of cramps and pains during pregnancy.

There were various playgrounds for children in the park. The guys took part in master classes, played board games, drew, leafed through magazines, someone tried on a princess costume.

Several sites were presented by employees of the Zhodino Central City Library. For example, the guys, together with the librarian Elena Tarun, made postcards for mothers.

At parting, as a sign of friendship, they tied a satin ribbon on each other's wrist. We got apples with Belarusian symbols. And expectant mothers wrote wishes for their future children on satin ribbons. All the ribbons were tied into a large satin ring, which was attached to a tree. This is how its own “tree of desires” appeared in Zhodino.

“I’m very glad that I got to this holiday,” one of the expectant mothers admitted. - There were laughter, jokes, and serious questions ... There were many pleasant moments and surprises for everyone!

This month we bought a car seat for a child from 9 to 36 kg. It cost 1,423,200 rubles. This purchase is necessary, and we did not make it at the expense of the allowance, of course. We are obliged to have a chair by law, but this is not provided for by the allowance.

You have to be more modest

- Thank God, I have a husband and parents, they help. And if for this money you still eat, dress, pay the rent ... No, it is impossible to live on the allowance. Some acquaintances say that you can spend less on a child, be more modest, - sums up Svetlana.

There are at least five legends about the origin of Zhodino. Let's tell the most beautiful and sad of them - about the Zhodinka river. A long time ago, a girl named Zhodinka lived in those parts, who lost her parents early. She had no one except her brother. When the war began, Zhodinka's brother had to go to defend the Motherland. The farewell was difficult. The last time my brother looked around, the last time Zhodinka waved his hand to him. She walked home, and bitter tears fell from her eyes to the ground. Suddenly the girl felt as if someone was catching up with her. She turned around and saw that small streams appeared in the place of her tears. Dozens, hundreds ... They merged rapidly, and now a whole river is flowing. Later, people began to settle along the banks of this river, and the new village was named Zhodino.

The modern history of Zhodino has developed quite rapidly. In 1946 it was decided to build a peat machine building plant here. In 1950 Torfmash produced the first products, but the enterprise did not last long. In 1951 the plant was converted into a road machinery plant - "Dormash". On its basis, in 1958, the first dump truck was produced, and the plant was named BelAZ. In January 1958 Zhodino received the status of an urban settlement. People came here to work from all over Soviet Union... In 1961, research institutes of animal husbandry and agriculture were transferred to Zhodino ... The rapid development of the village and the growth of the population served as the basis for giving it the status of a city of regional subordination in 1963.

Today OJSC "BelAZ" - Management Company holding "BELAZ-HOLDING" - the world's largest manufacturer of mining dump trucks of large and extra heavy lifting capacity, as well as other heavy transport equipment used in the mining and construction industries. BelAZ is an export-oriented enterprise. The plant is one of the seven leading world concerns for the production of quarry equipment.
