National Unity Day in Russia is a public holiday that is historically associated with the distant events of the early 17th century, when on November 4, 1612, militia soldiers led by Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky liberated Moscow from Polish invaders, demonstrating an example of heroism and solidarity of the whole people regardless of origin, religion and position in society.

Among the events that take place in preparation for the celebration of National Unity Day, the information and bibliographic department (Head Pashkina L.S.) of the Kstovo Central Library named after. A. S. Pushkin prepared a book exhibition "November 4 - Day of National Unity". The exhibition is addressed to everyone who is interested in the history of the Russian state.

Tomorrow we celebrate National Unity Day. This holiday symbolizes the civil feat of the people, who rallied to overcome the turmoil and anarchy in 1612. On this day, our people showed rare courage and expelled the invaders and invaders from Russia. On November 4, 1612, militia soldiers led by Dmitry Pozharsky and Kuzma Minin stormed Kitay-gorod and liberated Moscow.

On November 4, when we celebrate the Day of National Unity, we pay tribute to our great ancestors, to all our people who defended Russia in troubled and troubled times.

On the eve of this memorable date in branch library №5 opening exhibitions "In unity is our strength". December 16, 2004 State Duma Russian Federation adopted amendments to the federal law"On the days of military glory (victory days) of Russia." One of them concerned the introduction of a new holiday - National Unity Day. November 4, which was first celebrated in 2005, was declared a holiday number. It was on these days, November 1-5 (October 22-26), 1612, that important events took place for the Russian people - the united people's militia led by Kozma Minin and Prince Dmitry Pozharsky liberated Moscow from foreign Polish invaders.

Azov Village Library

On the Day of National Unity, the Azov Village Library hosted an hour of history “In unity is strength”.

The librarian of the village library Pokotilo Tatyana Nikolaevna spoke about the historical events of 1612, in memory of which the Day of National Unity was established, about its significance in strengthening the Russian state. Those present learned about the spiritual significance of the Orthodox holiday of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God from the message of the librarian of the reading room Danilenko Svetlana Vasilievna. Poems dedicated to the significant date were read by high school students Pavel Krasavin, Ramazan Saledinov and Aleksey Gumin. All those present recalled proverbs about the Motherland.

A thematic shelf “Unity fastens hearts forever” was prepared for the event, where literature on the topic was exhibited.

Middle City Library

In the Near Town Rural Library for readers of grades 2-5, on November 3, an informative hour “The Powers of the Russian Eagles” was held, dedicated to the Day of National Unity. Makarova's librarian Elena Vladimirova told the children about the history of the holiday and the history of Russia, the Time of Troubles, the liberation of Moscow from the Polish invaders, the role of Minin and Pozharsky in uniting the country. The children listened with interest to the librarian, and then took part in a quiz about public holidays in Russia. The most active participants of the quiz were Dasha Yudicheva and Alena Zhigalova.

Krymkovskaya library

On the eve of the Day of National Unity on November 2, an oral magazine "Prosperity in Unity" was held for students in grades 4-6 in the Krymkovo rural library.

Librarian Boychuk Larisa Valentinovna told the students about the heroic pages of our history, the story was accompanied by an electronic presentation "We are one." The children peered with great interest at the expressive slides, pictures of history flashed on the screen ancient Russia, portraits of great heroes - Minin and Pozharsky, Alexander Nevsky and other national heroes of Russia. Students of the 5th grade and presenters at the event Kenzhieva Medina, Nezdelskaya Katya and Dark Arina read poems: Natalia Maidanik dedicated to the Day of National Unity.

As part of the celebration of the Day of National Unity on November 4, a patriotic evening "Unity of Different" was held in the village of Lugansk. Before the start of the concert, the Chairman of the Village Council Ametova Asie Ametovna spoke with congratulations and presented the young artists with a large and tasty cake for their bright talents.

The head of the Lugansk library Pavitskaya Svetlana Stepanovna told the audience about the history of the holiday, and the guys from the theater studio "Origins" Nevoit Nastya read the poem "The Motherland is One", and Beletsky Daniil the poem "Unity". The May rural library together with the House of Culture held a festive concert called "We are united!" Dedicated to the Day of National Unity.

The host of the festive concert was the village librarian Yu.N. Mykolaichuk, she told about the history of this holiday. The event was attended by vocal and dance groups of the village Mayskoe. During the festive concert, many wonderful songs about Russia were performed. Members of the circus group "Rainbow" presented the guests with their wonderful performances, and the dance group "Joy" gave the dance "Friendship", which symbolized the unity of the peoples of Russia.

Novokrymskaya library

The head of the Pobednensky Library Tatyana Borisovna Kareeva prepared for the children interesting story about the history of the holiday. The children learned that this is a very young holiday. But this is not a newly invented, but a restored holiday. It has a very ancient history.

Our country is multinational, more than 180 nationalities live in Russia and each has its own customs, fairy tales and songs. But we all have one big, united Motherland Russia! The guys displayed this in their drawings, which they submitted to the show jumping "I live here and this region is dear to me." Apashukov Arsen, Danilchenko Vera, Tsalko Karina, Romashina Nastya, Molodetskaya Masha became the winners. All winners received albums, pencils and books as gifts. The book exhibition "Consent Today - Peace Forever" was arranged for the event in the library.

Since 2005, on November 4, we have been celebrating the youngest public holiday - National Unity Day. The holiday is intended to remind that we, Russians, belonging to different social groups, nationalities and religions - a single people with a common historical destiny and a common future.

As part of the celebration of the Day of National Unity on November 3, the historical hour "The Great Date of Russia" dedicated to the Day of National Unity was held in the Chaikinskaya rural library. The librarian Chernyaeva Natalia Igorevna spoke about the history of the holiday, its historical and political significance. A book exhibition was prepared for library readers: "The future of Russia is in the unity of the people."

This quatrain began an hour of historical events in the Yarkovo library, which was prepared for students in grades 10-11 by the village librarian Tatyana Gennadievna Shcherbanyuk. On November 4, all of Russia celebrates National Unity Day. This day occupies a special place among the public holidays of modern Russia. It is associated with the events of 1612 - the feat of our ancestors, who rallied in the name of the freedom and independence of the Motherland. Tatyana Gennadievna told the schoolchildren about Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky, that under their leadership the Moscow Kremlin was finally liberated from the Polish invaders, that this day is the day of the connection of the past, present and future, the unification of all the people of our vast country in love to a friend, to his land, to Russia.

The younger generation is obliged to remember the events of such a scale and this memory should by no means be lost by posterity. In this memory we draw strength to overcome difficulties, in this memory we are a united and invincible Russian people.

Yasnaya Polyana Library

An hour of history “In unity is our strength” was held in the Yasnaya Polyana rural library for students in grades 7-8. Rural librarian Natalya Lyubomirovna Pulyaeva noted that the history of our country is rich in examples when it was the unity of the entire multinational people in the name of the good and prosperity of Russia that opened the way to strengthening the state. Children got acquainted with historical books and articles, which reflected the era of troubled times. At the end of the event, students were asked to answer the questions: “What does the Day of National Unity call us to?”, “Why should we be united?” The most active received incentive prizes.
