2.1. Acceptance rules - according to GOST 9980.1.

(Revised edition, Rev. No. 1).

2.2. The norm according to the indicator 4 table. 2 the manufacturer determines in every 10th batch.

3. TEST METHODS

3.1. Sampling - according to GOST 9980.2.

3.2. Preparation of samples for testing

The test whites are thoroughly mixed. The mass fractions of the film-forming substance, the solid, the zinc compounds in terms of ZnO in the solid and the degree of grinding are determined without diluting the white.

To determine the rest of the indicators, the white is diluted to a paint consistency with natural drying oil in an amount of 17-28% by weight of thick white, filtered through a sieve with a mesh 056N GOST 6613 and applied with a brush to the prepared plates.

Plates for applying whitewash are prepared according to GOST 8832, Sec. 3.

The color of the film and the drying time of the whitewash are determined on plates of steel grades 08 kp and 08 ps with a size of 70 x 150 mm and a thickness of 0.5-1.0 mm according to GOST 16523 or on plates of black cold-rolled sheet with a thickness of 0.25-0.28 mm according to GOST 13345.

The hardness of the film is determined on glass for photographic plates measuring 9 x 12-1.2 according to TU 6-43-02-05133-03.

To determine the drying time and the hardness of the film, the white is applied in one layer.

The thickness of a single-layer coating after drying should be 25-30 microns. The film thickness is measured with an MP-25 type micrometer according to GOST 4381 or another device with an error of no more than + 3 microns.

To determine the color of the white is applied until the substrate is completely covered.

Drying is carried out at a temperature of (20 + 2) ° C for 24 hours.

(Changed edition, Rev. No. 1, 2).

3.3. The color of the dried white film is determined by visual comparison with the color of the corresponding control color samples in natural or artificial daylight diffused light. The compared samples should be in the same plane at a distance of 300-500 mm from the observer's eyes at an angle of view that excludes surface glare. In case of disagreement in the assessment of color, the determination of the color in natural daylight is taken as the final result.

(Revised edition, Rev. No. 2).

3.4. Mass fractions of a solid substance and a film-forming substance are determined according to GOST 17537. A mixture of acetone (GOST 2768) with ethyl alcohol (GOST 17299) in a ratio of 3:2 is used as a solvent. The resulting solid is kept for determination. mass fraction zinc compounds according to clause 3.5.

3.5. Determination of the mass fraction of zinc compounds in terms of ZnO in solid matter.

3.5.1. Used reagents and solutions:

hydrochloric acid according to GOST 3118;

aqueous ammonia according to GOST 3760, solution with a mass fraction of 25%;

paper congo red;

distilled water according to GOST 6709;

disodium salt of ethylenediamine-Y.Y.Y "Y" -tetraacetic acid, 2-aqueous (trilon B) according to GOST 10652, concentration solution c (l / 2C 10 H 14 O 8 N2Na2-2H2O) \u003d 0.1 mol / dm 3, prepared according to GOST 10398, sec. 3 or from fixed channel;

eriochrome black T, indicator mixture, prepared according to GOST 10398, sec. one.

3.5.2. Conducting a test

0.5-1.0 g of the solid substance obtained according to clause 3.4 is weighed in a beaker to the fourth decimal place, 100-150 cm 3 of distilled water, 15-20 cm 3 of hydrochloric acid are added, heated and boiled for 3 -5 minutes. Upon cooling, the solution is poured into a volumetric flask with a capacity of 250 cm 3 and the volume is adjusted to the mark with distilled water, 25 cm 3 of the solution is transferred with a pipette into a conical flask with a capacity of 250 cm 3, neutralized with ammonia in the presence of Congo red paper, the precipitated white precipitate of zinc hydroxide is dissolved by adding a few drops of ammonia. 25-30 cm 3 of distilled water, 10 cm 3 of a buffer solution are added to the solution at the tip of a spatula of the indicator mixture and titrated with a 0.1 mol/dm 3 solution of Trilon B until the color changes from red-violet to pure blue.

3.5.3. Results processing

The mass fraction of zinc compounds (X) as a percentage in terms of ZnO is calculated by the formula

V■ T 1.2447-10-100

where V is the volume of 0.1 mol / dm 3 solution of Trilon B used for titration, cm 3;

T - titer of 0.1 mol / dm 3 Trilon B solution for metallic zinc (exactly 0.1 mol / dm 3 Trilon B solution corresponds to 0.003269 g of zinc);

1.2447 - coefficient for converting the mass of zinc to the mass of ZnO;

m is the mass of the solid sample, g.

The result of the determination is taken as the arithmetic mean of two parallel determinations, the allowable discrepancies between which should not exceed 1%. The result is recorded to the first decimal place.

METHOD OF APPLICATION OF ZINC WHITE

Thick zinc whitewash is intended for obtaining coatings on metal, wood, plaster, operated indoors and in atmospheric conditions.

Before using whitewash, it is diluted with natural drying oil in an amount of 17-28% by weight of thick whitewash. It is allowed to dilute the white with drying oil "oksol" or combined, but the white is used only for interior work.

White is applied with a brush, roller or spray gun in an even layer on a dry surface previously cleaned of grease, dirt and old peeling paint in one or two layers. Drying time of each layer at a temperature of (20 ± 2) ° C - 24 hours.

Consumption of white for a single-layer coating 170-200 g/m 3 depending on the brand.

White is stored in a tightly closed container, protected from moisture, heat and direct sunlight.

After the expiration of the warranty period of storage, the white must be checked for compliance with the requirements of this standard before use.

During painting work, as well as after their completion, it is necessary to thoroughly ventilate the room. Use rubber gloves to protect your hands.
