So we (or rather, myself) succumbed to the temptation to collect a collection of "Animals of the Wild" from the publishing house DeAgostini. Our first experience of collecting animal toys from DeAGOSTINI began in 2015 with Dinosaurs and Jurassic World magazines. At that time we bought magazines at a kiosk, it turned out, of course, more expensive than by subscription due to an additional margin. And when all the dinosaurs were collected, a new collection of children's magazines from DeAgostini "Animals of the Wild" was published. Here I have already subscribed to it on the website of the publisher's store.

Such collections of magazines with animal toys introduce the child to the surrounding world of wild animals, the inhabitants of forests, savannas, deserts, jungles, their life features and habits, as well as many interesting facts. Such toys will captivate the child for a long time, help in his development: speech, imagination, memory.

Collecting dinosaurs was not originally planned. But by chance, my son and I saw the first issue with two toys for 149 rubles at the kiosk and could not pass by. We liked the magazine and the toys very much, and we decided to buy the rest of the issues. Unfortunately, somewhere since the 15th issue, the quality of magazines and toys (as well as their number in one issue) has decreased significantly. Moreover, they began to have a very strong toxic smell, the toys were washed with soap, and the magazines weathered on the balcony for a couple of days, but it was not possible to completely get rid of the smell.

Despite the fact that the publisher assures us of the high quality of toys, the durability of paints and the material (PVC) from which these toys are made, unfortunately, this is far from being the case. Many of our dinosaurs look deplorable, because the paint is scratched, torn off.

To date, some toys (bipedal dinosaurs) do not hold up and fall, despite the fact that they initially stood well. The mother of a primitive man is also not worth it.

At the moment, we have 49 issues in stock, while the 59th issue is already on sale in the kiosk. There will be 70 issues in total. The advantage of a subscription is that the cost of the magazines, including shipping, comes out a little, but cheaper. As well as guaranteed gifts that the publisher promises: a 50% discount on the first parcel, a sleeping bag with the 10th parcel, a play mat with the 3rd parcel and plasticine when paying with a bank card with the 5th parcel. I don’t know how worthwhile and necessary gifts are for everyone to decide for themselves, but in any case, we don’t lose anything with them.

I must say that the quality of toys in the Wild Animals collection is much better. Of course, the paint also scratches, but the execution of many toys is excellent (in my opinion). It would be great if all the toys were made in this technique. Namely! The toys are not hollow, but dense, and initially it seems that they are made of rubber. But no, it's plastic, the same polyvinyl chloride. But such toys are nice to pick up, look at, they are very detailed. And birds have flexible wings, you can imitate flaps when flying.

Unfortunately, there were some defective toys, but they are much less than in the Animals of the Forest collection from DeAgostini, which I started ordering in January of this year.

The mother kangaroo has a higher left leg and does not hold all the weight. And now the toy has begun to collapse even more and is almost not worth it.

I decided to purchase the Animals of the Forest collection in addition to the Animals of the Wild. It took a very long time to decide, because there are a lot of complaints about the quality of toys on the publisher's website (many defective ones). But in the end I took the plunge and ordered it.

Not all toys are here either, some are on return.

Indeed, there were a lot of marriages. I have already sent issues three times for a return with an exchange. Most often, the exchange also comes with marriage. And the last return, sent a month ago, will not be returned to me for unknown reasons, every time they promise on the hotline: in the coming days, but these days will never come. These constant returns of 10-15 issues are very upsetting. Of course, the publisher compensates for postage, but nevertheless, all this takes time and the desire to order something else from them.

Also an unpleasant moment is that many issues are not on sale and will never be. Therefore, a complete collection will not work. I am very sorry that earlier (in 2014) I did not see the editions of Animal Forests for sale at the kiosk, perhaps then I would have been able to purchase and collect all the toys. The collection itself is good, interesting, and I myself want to forget about all the things and play, play and play.

Now on the website of the publisher's store you can order or subscribe to many different collections for both children and adults. But in my opinion, DeAgostini's Animals (forests and wildlife) toy magazines are in great demand among buyers (both parents and collectors) and will always be relevant. It's a shame that DeAgostini isn't considering constantly relaunching these collections and improving the quality of the toys.

This time we were lucky enough to become the owners of a special issue of magazines about animals. Its difference from the usual one is that there are twice as many toys in it. So it’s twice as pleasant to buy and read it :)

The magazine itself, as always, is not big. Those who bought these already know that it is very thin and consists of only 23-26 pages.

The pictures are colorful and bright. Animals are depicted as beautiful and kind. The font is not very small. And the stories are not long. Therefore, even children themselves will be interested in reading it.

Toys will be especially attractive. Of which there are as many as 5 pieces in special editions !!!

The animals are very cute! All are nice and well made. When my daughter took them with her to the playground, not a single child stood aside.

I like that they are not heavy. Irushki, which are larger in size, are hollow inside. And even the smallest kid can easily carry them in a pen. And you can also study animals on them.

You can also take them to the bath. We enjoy washing their backs. The paint is still in place. There are no losses.

Each character in the magazine has its own story. When I read a story to my daughter, for example, about a tiger, I give her the appropriate toy in her hands and she plays with it for now. This draws attention to books and reading very much and arouses interest in the tale itself. Because you want to know more about your character.

Bought magazines in Magnit. Haven't seen them in other places yet. They fit exactly as shown on the cover. Of course 349 rubles. not a trifle. But they are very attractive. Moreover, in the usual releases there are 2 toys, and the price does not differ much.

Now we have two magazines. Special Issue 2 and Special Issue 3. In total, our collection consists of 10 cute little animals. Too bad we missed the first one. I would love to buy it too.

At the expense of periodicity, it is indicated on the cover that the publication is weekly. But either they don’t bring it to us so often. Whether the releases are repeated. I haven't met any others yet.

I hasten to supplement the review with the long-awaited 4th issue of my favorite magazine.

There are 6 new toys in this special issue. One more than usual. Although on the package itself, as before, 5 pieces were indicated. Therefore, one hero turned out to be a surprise :)

There are very small figurines. There are not many. Only 2 things, but still you need to be careful not to lose.

I also really liked that the little man that we got with this number was made no less accurately than other toys. Eyes, nose, clothes and even a small watch on the hands are made perfectly.
