We make simple and original paper envelopes. How to make an envelope from A4 paper

I needed an envelope here for one thing (I wanted to convey the congratulations sealed), and since the postcard was a non-standard size, I had to quickly make an envelope with my own hands (fortunately, there is enough paper at home). And then everything is as usual - I showed it to my girlfriends, and now I’m already making envelopes for invitations for one, and the other asks for a template for an envelope for money to present a large sum to my husband’s parents for a golden wedding.

I decided, without further ado, to just write a small instruction on how to make envelopes. Yes, it seems to me that this is obvious, and each person can guess how to fold the sheet and glue it to make an envelope, but as practice shows, it is easier for many people to work according to the instructions, especially when it comes to needlework.

For what? My husband asked me this question when he saw me digging into my scrapbooks. He seems to understand the purpose of the postcards, but the envelopes turned out to be something transcendent for us. So what are envelopes for?

  • as a packaging for a letter (yes, someone writes paper letters and sends postcards);
  • for packing postcards - printing an envelope is much more exciting than just opening a greeting card;
  • handmade money envelopes will help out when you want to give someone a certain amount of money;
  • for romantic notes and secrets.
Of course, with the exception of postage, all these reasons are not a necessity, but rather a whim. But here I am categorical as never before - sometimes you need to allow yourself joy and whim just for fun, otherwise life will become boring and gray. And handmade gifts are perfect for this.

different ways

There are many ways to pack a postcard, money or a letter so that outsiders cannot look into them, and, perhaps, talking about all the ways is a bad idea, the post will turn out to be too large and a rare bird will fly to its end. Therefore, we will do the following - I will tell you about the main ways to make an envelope for money with your own hands, and at the same time I will show the work that inspires me. Using basic techniques and templates, you can make an envelope for any occasion with your own hands.

By the way, about templates: I advise you to save the templates you like, so you can be sure that you always have them at hand. I started a regular folder on the desktop, where I add the pictures I like in word files. However, I will talk about the use of word later.

Easy option

Sometimes you have to make an ordinary postal envelope for a letter or a postcard yourself - either you don’t have it in the nearest store, or the format is not suitable. I usually use a sample for this - I take an existing envelope (for example, from a postcard), measure it with a ruler and make the same paper envelope. But you can go the other way and learn how to make an envelope out of A4 paper.

And in order for you to get an ordinary rectangular envelope, you need to mark a pattern on it, as in the diagram.

The two large parts are the walls of the envelope, it also has a long turn-down flap, and the sides that need to be glued. It is best to glue inward, so that there are no seams on the outside. Make a markup on your piece of paper, cut out the blank with sharp scissors, and then glue the sides.

And you can do this simple and cute option:

And from 4 circles you can get such an envelope:

The video shows how to assemble it:

How to decorate such an envelope from A4 sheet:

  1. Use watercolor paper on which you can make painterly splashes and streaks.
  2. Make beautiful stickers - you can use ready-made ones, or you can download any picture from the network and print it.
  3. Can be tied up.

Manufacturing method without glue

Gluing the envelope is easy, but just folding it out of paper is a little more difficult. Of course, such an envelope is unlikely to be accepted by the post office, but for an accompanying gift card it will fit perfectly - the congratulation will look cute and touching.

How to make an envelope without glue: you need to look through the origami templates and choose the one that you like; make a pattern; cut the workpiece; fold and iron well. Or you can fold the paper as in the video below: no scissors and glue are needed, only an A4 sheet.

At first glance, everything is easy, right? The second one is also easy, but I still advise you to try to make your favorite beautiful envelopes with your own hands, first from plain paper, and only then from scrapbooking paper. Of course, you can immediately practice on scrap paper, but it’s not a fact that the envelope will turn out neat the first time, and it will be much more difficult to fix the folds made on thick scrap paper.

How to decorate an envelope folded from paper without glue:

  • make a few holes with a hole punch and tie a beautiful ribbon on the envelope;
  • use a figured hole punch to decorate the edges and corners of the envelope;
  • make an applique from contrasting paper or a special cutting.

Origami

To be honest, origami is a dark forest for me, but I made several of these envelopes (although, of course, I prefer a scrapbooking envelope for money). So, what is required in order to make an origami envelope for money?
  1. Square sheet of paper.
  2. Ruler for straight folds.
  3. Needle for rolling (if you fold origami from thick paper).

By the way, you can make an origami paper envelope without glue, which is also sometimes very convenient, but such envelopes are not suitable for mail. However, they are very, very beautiful, and it seems to me that if you use such an envelope for money for a birthday, the birthday person will feel all your care and attention.

Complex options

I’ll tell you a little about how to make scrap envelopes not from a lesson, but simply using master classes for inspiration.

Scrapbooking is good because it allows you to make envelopes, postcards, albums and other amenities literally from nothing. Yes, now you can buy a variety of scrapbooking kits, but if you think about it, this technique came to us from the past, when women simply decorated their personal diaries and albums with lace, clippings, and stamping. All these techniques can be used now.

If you are into scrapbooking (or, like me, just periodically buy materials, unable to pass by), then you have certain stocks - lay them out on the table and try to combine one with the other. For example, select a couple of sheets of paper, pick up cuttings, decorative tape, ribbons for them.

If you don’t have all this stuff, don’t worry, and you don’t have to run to the store. Because you certainly have something. And from this something you can most likely make a gift envelope. What might be useful:

  • scraps of cardboard, beautiful colored paper;
  • felt and decorative fabrics;
  • unnecessary postcards and photographs;
  • printouts with any patterns;
  • paper of different quality and purpose (even pieces of wallpaper will do);
  • ribbons, bows, laces;
  • buttons (by the way, a very fashionable trend in scrapbooking);
  • miniature figurines;
  • trimming lace and thin fabrics;
  • nail polishes, decorative glitters and even unnecessary shadows (they are used to make pseudo-craquelure).
I think you already understood - you can use almost everything to make an envelope!

I will give a step-by-step video lesson that I liked - I have nothing to add here, except that a do-it-yourself wedding envelope or an envelope for a gift card will be very, very beautiful.

Common templates and some more tutorials and examples

I think now you more or less understand how to make an envelope out of paper with your own hands, and the rest of my examples of how to make an envelope for money are just inspirational speeches and various life hacks on this subject, because you have caught the main point.

If an envelope for money for a wedding with your own hands turned out to be not too neat, wrap it with lace - it will hide the flaws, and at the same time give the product a finished and festive look. A small envelope can be wrapped entirely, while a large envelope can be gracefully draped. By the way, a wedding card is usually large - in order to fit a toast there. If you just want to attach a card to a gift, or some amount of money, then it is better to use a small congratulatory envelope.

If you make an envelope out of paper without glue, then support this idea in the design - for example, fold a few origami figures with your own hands, and decorate an envelope for happy birthday money with them - for example, you can fold a flower, a heart or a crane that personifies a wish for happiness .

Don't want to sign the envelope by hand? See how to make an envelope out of paper for money using word templates. You can download the envelope for money template just below. Choose your favorite templates.

There is another way - first, print wishes or an address on the printer, and then watch a master class on how to make an envelope from a sheet of the desired format.

How to make a chic origami envelope out of paper? Take three or four sheets of paper for practice, and try to make your own beautiful envelope from this master class.

In general, feel free to use a Word to print diagrams - it's much easier than cutting out. Also, the Word will help to make a beautiful inscription for congratulations (and we all do not write too smoothly). If you use self-adhesive paper to print the word file, you don’t even have to decorate a regular paper envelope with anything - you can download the simplest template and decorate it with stickers.

If you need a lot of envelopes for a holiday (for example, for wedding invitations), then it is better to use folded envelopes - this category of products looks very presentable, they are made quickly, and if you do not use glue, then the likelihood of spoiling something is much less.

Do not forget that any master class needs to be watched and completed in stages - first view it completely, and then repeat what the master does - first print, then fold, then glue. So you can get the same result as shown in the photo.

Did you need an envelope, but it wasn’t at the post office, or is there simply no time to go there? Or maybe it needs to be handmade? You can assemble it yourself at home from a landscape or notebook sheet in size A3 or A5. Such improvised material can be found in every home or office. Would you like to learn how to make an A4 envelope? Let's figure it out.

The envelope can be assembled by yourself at home

Giving money is very simple, but to make it beautiful and not look like a simple cash transfer, you need to put it in an envelope. And if the gifted person is dear to you or you just want to surprise him, then the issue of packaging must be approached with all seriousness.

It doesn’t matter if the envelope is large or not, the basic process is the same for them, so take the step-by-step instructions for forming an envelope from an A4 sheet as a basis:

  1. Select the desired color sheet. It can also be made from an ordinary sheet of office paper, but if there is a need in the stationery store, you can buy not only a colored sheet, but also with all sorts of drawings.
  2. Now you need to fold it so that you get a square. Remove the excess part of the paper with scissors, but not tearing off, so that the edges are even and beautiful.
  3. Lay the square so that its corner is facing up.
  4. Using a ruler, bend inward all its corners, forming a square inside.
  5. Unfold the top corner, it will close your envelope.

Fasten the remaining corners with a small drop of glue, preventing them from sticking to the inner space of the envelope, only between themselves.

How to fold an envelope from a landscape sheet without glue?

It is not always at hand that there is glue with which the corners of a home-made envelope are fastened. In this case, you need to make a little more effort and slightly change the technique of forming the mail envelope. This is easy to do, especially if you have basic origami skills.

It is not always at hand that there is glue that fastens the corners of a homemade envelope.

  • form a square from the album sheet, removing everything superfluous with scissors;
  • make the edges as smooth as possible so that they do not spoil the appearance of the structure in which your letter will lie;
  • carefully fold the resulting sheet so that an even fold line connects the opposite corners of the square, forming two stripes;
  • put the straightened square with one corner up, make the bend of the lower corner to the center of the structure;
  • now also combine the side corners, but so that they do not reach the center, but are simply nearby;
  • bend the corner of the bottom of the envelope so that it forms a flap connecting the side parts;
  • put a letter or money in an envelope, bend it inward, hiding its corner in the inside.

Origami from the album sheet

For those who are not afraid of difficulties and want to surprise the addressee with their work with an album sheet, there is an option to form a beautiful envelope using the origami technique. It won't take more than half an hour.

For it you will need:

  • a rectangular sheet of paper for origami or scrapbooking;
  • centimeter substrate;
  • simple pencil;
  • iron ruler.

It won't take more than half an hour

How to do:

  1. Fold the sheet with small sides to each other so that the wrong side of the sheet is inside.
  2. Lay the paper with the fold down, and fold the top towards you so that it takes up a quarter of it.
  3. The resulting valve must be bent again, but already up, closing the wrong side with the front part. Now the whole sheet is folded 8 times.
  4. Unfold the last fold and fold it in the middle to get a strip with a part of the inside and a part of the face.
  5. Now we bend the lower corners into triangles, and tuck them under the previously obtained valve.
  6. We turn the design over, and bend it on the sides, formed by the part outward on both sides of the envelope.
  7. Turn over to decompose only the bends made.
  8. We form the upper clan by bending it to the colored strip of the lower valve.
  9. On the sides of the envelope you should get two rectangles on each side, on the bottom of them you need to draw diagonals diverging from the envelope.
  10. Fold the top edge of the flap to the marked diagonal on each side.
  11. We open the structure, form bends inward in the lower corners so that we get triangles.
  12. Bend the belt and put it into a triangle, wrap its side part like a shutter.
  13. We also form side triangles on the top valve, making a common triangle.
  14. Having expanded it, we bend the folds, as is the case with the bottom valve.

The resulting triangle will close your envelope, with a message or money enclosed in it. This is all done easily.

How to make a postal envelope from A4 paper?

Of course, the easiest way is to find a template for such an envelope on the Internet and, after printing, fold it along the desired dotted contours. In fact, it will need to be bent and glued. If printing is too easy, then you can use any of the above methods. Although it is difficult to work with your own hands, the emotions that the addressee will reward you with will more than pay off your efforts. Such envelopes are stored carefully and such an act is remembered for a long time, especially if before that needlework was not your forte.

Envelope for money

To make it, you need to draw a template on medium density cardboard.

  1. In the center, draw a rectangle with sides of 24 * 21 centimeters.
  2. On the wrong side, draw an inner rectangle with a side of 10 cm.
  3. On the one hand, draw a protruding rounded part of 1 cm, and on the other - 2 cm.
  4. Bend all the parts along the folds, stretch the cord into the side valves.

Such envelopes are stored carefully and such an act is remembered for a long time.

The envelope is ready. You can decorate it however you like.

Large A4 envelope

Any formation technology is applicable for it, but if we take the latter as a basis, then all lines must be drawn based not on the indicated numbers, but on the format of the sheet itself.

First, correctly draw the small side valves, and from them the main ones.

Making an envelope with your own hands is quite simple

If the addressee is a man, then the color of the sheet and the ribbon must be chosen strict; for ladies, you can decorate with lace, feathers or other decor that the addressee will like.

What else can be done from an A4 sheet: ideas

There are a lot of options for crafts, and most often their creation is limited by the lack of imagination. But all this is fixable when there is a desire.

Therefore, the following ideas will come in handy:

  • envelopes of various shapes and formats;
  • greeting cards ordinary and 3D;
  • bookmarks in books;
  • Christmas decorations;
  • decor for the room;
  • tapes;
  • airplanes and ships;
  • any origami craft;
  • flowers;
  • hat decor and much more.

As a basis, you can take pure white paper, color, with drawings and embossing. You can make amazing tandems with fabric, special self-adhesive paper, colored tape, etc. With a certain approach, you can reach the level when your crafts become original works that will be in incredible demand.

Send a letter - today's youth associate this action only with e-mail. But sometimes you have to send paper letters, but they need an envelope. In the era of electronics, you will not find such a trifle in every home, so you have to think about how to make an envelope out of paper with your own hands. It seems that wisdom is not great, but without skill it is impossible to cope with such a task.

Sometimes you want no stranger to read a greeting card to your loved one, but it happens that you need to put money given as a gift in an envelope. Therefore, we suggest that you learn how to make an envelope out of A4 paper. Watch the suggested videos, repeat the steps after the instructor, and you will be able to cope with such a simple task.

First of all, it is necessary to cut out a square from a standard rectangular sheet of A4 writing or colored paper, attaching the short side to the long side and cutting off the remaining rectangle. Next, we proceed as follows:

  • Putting the two corners together, we determine the middle of the inflection line.
  • Having straightened the sheet, we connect one of its corners with the middle of the marked diagonal.
  • In the resulting triangle, the ends are bent a little further than the marked middle.
  • To hold the envelope, the tips of the folded corners are inserted into each other.

The envelope for the letter is ready. If you put something in it, you can close the upper triangular valve and, if desired, even seal it with glue. It will quite withstand even postal forwarding without falling apart and not sticking. This is how an extremely simple design turns out, which does not require complex cutting out shapes and gluing individual elements.

A sheet of paper folded in half will not fit in such an envelope; it will have to be folded at least twice.

Video lesson:

If you use a standard sheet of A4 writing paper as the starting material, you will get a small paper envelope with dimensions of 92 x 135 millimeters.

To begin with, an A4 sheet is folded in half along the short side, the fold line is ironed well.

Then one of the sides of the sheet is folded to the fold line and half folded back. Several of these bends form a dense multilayer strip, to which the remaining free corners are bent. Along the edges of these corners, the entire design of the envelope is bent, the lines of the bends are carefully ironed.

The resulting fold lines are markings for further bends of the sheet, which already form the envelope itself. At this stage, it is necessary to carefully observe the video instruction so as not to get confused in the sequence of folding the sheet. In some cases, you have to mark the upcoming inflection lines with a pencil.

Inward-folding corners keep the envelope from opening.

Video lesson:

From a standard sheet of A4 writing paper, you can make a simple envelope for money.

  • The sheet is first folded in half along its length, then again, while the points of the middle of the sides are marked.
  • The corners of the sheet on one side are bent to the center line, the sides are bent so that their edges do not reach the center line a little.
  • The design is folded in half to mark the line of inflection, the valve with bent triangles is bent inward.
  • The design is again bent, and its rectangular edge is inserted behind the bent corners.

It turns out a rectangular envelope with a flap having bent corners, which quite accurately corresponds to the size of banknotes in denominations of one thousand rubles. The front side remains clean, and you can make any congratulatory inscription or drawing on it. You can put a gift amount of money in an envelope and, without sealing it, hand it to the hero of the occasion.

Video lesson:

Today we will figure out how to make an envelope out of paper with your own hands. Envelopes can be simple, gift, differ in shape and size, may not have decorations and be intricately decorated.

How to make an envelope out of A4 paper

A simple plain envelope

  • Take a sheet of A4 paper and lay it horizontally in front of you.
  • Measure from the right upper and left lower sides by 7.2 cm.
  • Draw lines to the corners as shown in the diagram. Cut off the resulting triangles.
  • Rotate the resulting shape towards you so that it looks like a diamond.
  • Bend the sides evenly in the middle.
  • Bend the top and bottom sides to the middle.
  • Glue the finished envelope, leaving a tab so that the envelope opens freely.

Rectangular letter envelope

  • Take a sheet of A4 paper. Bend it along the line as shown in diagram (A).
  • Bend the sides (B).
  • Unfold the sheet and cut along the folded lines the side parts as shown in figure (B).
  • Bend the remaining side pieces. Fold the envelope and glue the sides. Close the envelope with the remaining label (D).

Square envelopes

Plain square envelope

  • Fold the square sheet horizontally and then vertically.
  • Fold two corners towards the center.
  • Fold the bottom corner forward.
  • The envelope is ready

Origami envelope

  • Take a square sheet of paper. Rotate it so it looks like a diamond. Bend it to make a triangle.
  • Bend the top side of the triangle to the base of the triangle.
  • Now bend its right corner, as in the diagram.
  • Do the same with the left corner.
  • Bend the remaining corner from the middle of the envelope
  • Open this corner so that your finger enters it.
  • Fold the top of the envelope down and insert it into the pocket you just formed.

Beautiful square envelope with rounded edges

  • We take a sheet of paper with equal sides, leaving a square in the middle.
  • From the side parts we form four rounded labels with the help of a compass and scissors.
  • We bend all the labels to the center.
  • You will get a very nice envelope.

heart envelope

This is a very simple way. You can not glue such an envelope, but simply carefully smooth its folds so that it does not open. But when the recipient opens the envelope, he will see a heart. You can not even put anything inside such an envelope, but simply write pleasant words inside the very heart.

  • So, you will need to cut a heart out of paper. To make it even and symmetrical, you need to fold the sheet in half and cut along the contour of one half. When you open the sheet, you will get a neat heart. It is important.
  • Turn the heart face down on the table.
  • Bend its sides, as shown in the photo.
  • Bend the top and bottom remaining sides to the middle.
  • The envelope is ready.

Now you know the basic ways of making envelopes. You can experiment and come up with your own unusual options. Any of the above envelopes, even the simplest one, can be turned into a beautiful and gift if it is designed in an original way.

Gift envelope design

In order for your envelope to become beautiful and individual, you will need different materials. It all depends on your imagination. It can be ribbons, beads, beads, paints, pencils, ready-made bows, flowers and much more.

Invite your child to decorate the envelope themselves. For example, color it with pencils. Show that the sides of the envelope can be outlined with felt-tip pens, draw flowers, or simply abstractly paint the entire envelope. Also, he can write beautiful words on the front side, which you will first help him find.
Many children really like gluing beads. Let your child express himself. Give him beads, beads of different sizes and glue. He will be happy to create a masterpiece on his own. You can wind the threads around the envelope, sticking them evenly on the glue so that they do not crumble. This option looks organic even without additional decoration. Although, no one here will set frames for you, so you can safely glue flowers, bows and beads.
In the process of preparing envelopes, you can try to do quilling with your child. Perhaps the child will enjoy twisting paper strips, and at the end you can get wonderful products for decorating envelopes. Wind various quilling flowers with your child, and then give him the opportunity to arrange them on the envelope the way he likes.
Surely you and your little craftsman have already tried to make applications. These skills will definitely come in handy here as well. Look at several design options together and come up with a picture that will become an application for a gift envelope.

Nowadays, of course, any thing can be purchased in stores, but how about making envelopes with your own hands? Let's divide them into simple and gift. A little later, several methods for making envelopes will be presented in detail, just be patient and you will learn all the details of this simple matter.

Envelopes with their own hands are original and unique, no one can repeat it. In general, the manufacture of envelopes is one of the ways of doing business. Handwork is very much appreciated in the modern world, and you can earn money on it, but since this section is devoted specifically to manufacturing, and not to sales, we will not dwell on the topic of earning.

Having decided on the theme of the envelope, you need to resolve all issues with materials, equipment and tools for manufacturing. To do this, let's focus on a few of the most important points.

As with any other product, the envelope will require material as a base and additional details. First of all, the envelope is always associated with paper. But what kind of material it will be depends on your wishes and imagination.

The materials are as follows.

  • Office paper, colored paper, junk, cardboard of different densities, any wrapping material, fabric, felt, and everything that may be at hand in your home.
  • To decorate the made envelope, you can use beads, buttons of different sizes and colors, lace and satin ribbons, jute thread, etc. Everything depends on your imagination.
  • Simpler envelopes can be decorated with a pattern or appliqué; for this, prepare gouache, colored markers and pencils, stickers of the desired theme and colored paper in advance.

How to make an envelope without tools? For manufacturing, you will need scissors, a clerical knife, a figured hole punch, a long ruler, a simple pencil, PVA glue and a glue gun, double-sided tape.

Be sure to work you need a workplace with good lighting, where you feel comfortable. All working material and tools should fit on the work surface and always be at hand.

So, for making an envelope with your own hands, everything is ready. We make a choice.

Options for making simple envelopes

What makes it convenient to make a simple envelope is that it will require a minimum of time, materials, and you can do the work with your children. Such a joint activity will bring you and your child a lot of joyful emotions. How to make an envelope? Consider the main options.

simple small envelope

To make it, you need a sheet of office paper in A4 format.

The sheet should lie in front of you in a horizontal position. Measure with a ruler in the upper right corner to the left and in the lower left corner to the right, 72 mm each. Then connect the measured points with lines opposite the corners. We cut off the resulting triangles, we should get a parallelogram. Lay a sheet of paper in front of you so that you get a diamond shape horizontally. Gently fold the left and right sides into the middle of the sheet.

Repeat the same steps for the top and bottom of the sheet. Glue the folded parts together, leaving only the top part open (not glued).

There is an urgent need to send a letter, and the envelope of the right size and shape is out of stock, what should I do? The answer is simple, create it yourself.

The main material for us will be sheets of white office paper in A4 format.

Visually divide a sheet of paper into five equal parts, mark two parts of these five and make a fold along the marked line. Putting a sheet of paper vertically on the surface in front of us, we mark approximately 10 mm. On most of the sheet, cut off the edges along the marked lines to the fold line. On the smaller part of the sheet, bend the sides along the marked lines.

We fold both parts, bending the sheet, and glue one part to the other along the sidewalls. On the resulting label, round off the corners with scissors and bend at the fold.

Using the adhesive surface of the label

We learned how to make a simple envelope with our own hands, but in order for it to be fully used for its intended purpose, you need to do the following. We take a pre-prepared double-sided tape, peel off the protective film on one side, carefully glue it to the inner surface of the label.

The envelope is ready to be sealed. It remains only to peel off the top protective layer and glue the envelope itself, after which it will be ready to be sent to the addressee.

Soldier's triangular envelope

One of the simple and at the same time original envelopes is a triangular envelope called "Soldier's". We will not delve into the topic of why it was called that, but simply start making it.

The soldier's triangle can be used when writing congratulatory letters and postcards to veterans of the Great Patriotic War on Victory Day, for example.

We take a sheet of rectangular shape, put it vertically on the surface. We fold diagonally, combining the opposite sides, while forming a right triangle and the rest of the wide rectangle at the bottom. Then we make a bend in the middle of a right-angled triangle, forming an already isosceles triangle with a wide strip from the bottom. Gently and carefully smooth out both folds.

We pass to the wide strip that remained under the triangle, bend it to the base of the isosceles triangle, thereby defining the fold line. This rectangle will serve as a tab for closing the envelope.

We bend the protruding corners of the tongue, forming small triangles on both sides of the strip. Now, instead of a rectangular strip, we have formed a trapezoid, which you put into the hole of a large triangle. The envelope is ready, now it will definitely reach the addressee.

Have you ever heard of such an envelope? Let's do it ourselves. We lay out a rectangular sheet of paper on the working surface (the size does not matter, the material is taken at your discretion). On one side of the sheet, write the necessary text or message. We form the envelope by dividing it into three equal parts, but leaving an indent from the top of about 20 mm. This will glue the envelope, and the text itself will remain inside the envelope. If desired, you can glue the side parts.

For the base, cut out a square from a sheet of paper. Rotate it so that the square becomes a rhombus. We bend diagonally and get two triangles. Rotate the triangle so that the base is on the bottom. We bend the corner of one triangle to the base. We bend the two side corners of the base towards each other, first the right, then the left corner, forming a kind of envelope.

We bend the left folded corner again and form a right triangle, which is converted into a pocket. We form a pocket in the form of a rhombus, setting it in the middle. We bend the upper part and insert it into this pocket. The envelope is ready.

Guide to Making Original Envelopes

Above, you learned how to make simple types of envelopes - square and triangular. But what to do, for example, if you have some kind of celebration planned, you want to stand out and present a gift or money in a beautiful package? You can try to learn how to make gift envelopes with your own hands. No one else will get such a gift!

We cut out an even and symmetrical figure in the form of a heart from paper according to the made template. This is an important part in the manufacture of this envelope.

We unfold the cut out heart with the right side to the working surface. We symmetrically bend the sides into the inside of the future envelope. We bend the lower and upper parts and form an envelope. The letter pack is ready.

It is better to make from thick paper or cardboard. Preferably with beautiful bright colors. Inside the envelope, you can put something or write a congratulatory text with a wish.

How to store discs so that they remain intact and not scratched? You can make an envelope for them.

For the base, we take cardboard or thick paper. Typically, the dimensions of the envelope for a CD are 140x140 mm.

We cut the workpiece with a size of 140x280 mm. If it is thick cardboard, then we will use a clerical knife. We divide the finished sheet in half for this, in order to determine the fold line, we take a non-writing pen and draw along the ruler, so the fold will be even. We have prepared the base.

We cut out the corners for inserting the disk according to the template and glue them on the inside of our base.

It remains only to decorate the envelope to your liking. You can use ribbons, a figured hole punch, stickers, etc. The envelope is ready.

Envelope with rounded edges

Suitable, for example, for packaging jewelry.

We prepare a square from cardboard, bend the sides so that a square forms in the middle. Using scissors, cut out the excess, rounding each side, forming separate labels, not reaching the folds. We collect all the labels to the center.

The envelope can be tied with lace or jute rope, supplemented with appliqué.
