This standard applies to peanut oil produced by pressing and extraction from pre-treated peanut beans.
The requirements of this standard are mandatory.

1. TYPES

1.1. Depending on the degree of processing, peanut butter is divided into refined and unrefined.

1.2. Depending on the processing method and quality indicators, peanut butter is produced in the following types and varieties indicated in Table 1.

1.3. Depending on the quality, different types of peanut butter are intended for:
refined deodorized - for direct consumption;
refined and unrefined premium and first grade - for processing into food products;
unrefined technical - for processing for technical purposes.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1. Peanut butter must be produced in accordance with the requirements of this standard according to the technological instructions approved in the prescribed manner.

2.2. Peanut butter is produced from pre-treated peanut beans according to GOST 17111 or shelled peanuts according to normative and technical documentation, as well as from imported peanuts.

2.3. According to organoleptic and physico-chemical parameters, peanut butter must meet the requirements specified in Table 2.

2. It is allowed, in agreement with the consumer, to use peanut butter with an excess acid number for industrial processing.

2.4. The content of toxic elements, aflatoxin and pesticides in peanut oil intended for direct consumption or for processing into food products must not exceed the permissible levels established for vegetable oils by the Medical and Biological Requirements and Sanitary Standards for the Quality of Food Raw Materials and Food Products by the USSR Ministry of Health, approved on August 1, 1989 N 5061-89 * (appendices 1 and 2).

3a. ACCEPTANCE RULES

3a.1. Acceptance rules - according to GOST 5471 *.

3a.2. Control over the content of toxic elements, pesticides, aflatoxin is carried out in accordance with the procedure established by the manufacturer of products in agreement with the state sanitary supervision bodies and guaranteeing the safety of products.

3. TEST METHODS

3.1. Sampling methods - according to GOST 5471 and test methods according to clause 2.3 of this standard.
Preparation of samples for the determination of toxic elements - according to GOST 26929.

3.2. Determination of toxic elements - according to GOST 26927, GOST 26928, GOST 26930 - GOST 26934.
Determination of aflatoxin and pesticides - according to the methods of the Ministry of Health of the USSR.

4. PACKAGING, LABELING, TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

4.1. Refined deodorized peanut oil, intended for direct consumption, is packaged with a net weight of 500 and 700 g in glass bottles in accordance with GOST 10117.1 - GOST 10117.2 *, types IX, XVI, as well as with a net weight of 470, 575 and 1000 g in bottles of colored polymer materials approved by the Ministry of Health of the USSR.

It is allowed, upon agreement with the consumer, to pour refined deodorized peanut oil into aluminum flasks in accordance with GOST 5037 with sealing rings made of grease-resistant rubber in accordance with GOST 17133 and other materials permitted by the USSR Ministry of Health, as well as in non-galvanized steel barrels in accordance with GOST 13950 with coating of internal surfaces permitted for use USSR Ministry of Health.

4.2. Deviations from the net weight in grams are allowed:
when packing 1000 - ±10;
when packing 470-700 - ±5.
Oil bottles must be hermetically sealed (cork stopper or cardboard capsule). Corks and capsules must be filled with resin or, together with the neck of the bottle, covered with a tightly fitting aluminum or other cap with a gasket to ensure the tightness and integrity of the package.

4.3. Peanut butter is transported:

a) in clean dry railway tanks with tightly closing hatches according to GOST 10674*;

b) tank trucks in accordance with GOST 9218, in non-galvanized steel barrels in accordance with GOST 13950, in aluminum flasks in accordance with GOST 5037 with sealing rings made of grease-resistant rubber in accordance with GOST 17133 and other materials permitted by the USSR Ministry of Health;

c) in bottles installed in boxes.

4.4. Bottling of peanut butter must be carried out strictly by type and variety in accordance with the quality indicators of each type and variety.

4.5. Transport marking in accordance with GOST 14192, with the following additional designations that characterize the products and contain:

b) type and grade of oil;

c) the number of bottles in a packaging unit;

d) filling date for barrels, flasks or filling date for bottles;

e) number of this standard;

4.6. Each bottle must have a colorful printed label containing:

a) the name of the manufacturer, its location or its trademark;

b) type and grade of oil;

c) net weight in grams;

d) bottling date;

e) calorie content of 100 g of the product, kcal;

g) warranty period of storage;

h) the designation of this standard.
The date of bottling of peanut butter is affixed with a composter or a stamp on the label, embossed on the cap, or in any other way that provides a clear indication of it.

4.7. Bottles with oil are packed in wooden boxes in accordance with GOST 11354 and in plastic reusable boxes in accordance with OST 10-16.
It is allowed to pack bottles made of polymeric material into corrugated cardboard boxes in accordance with GOST 13516.

4.8. Shipping containers and packaging for peanut butter sent to the Far North and equivalent areas must comply with the requirements of GOST 15846.

4.9. Peanut butter must be stored in closed cans prior to filling into railroad cars, metal drums and bottles.

4.10. Peanut butter is transported by rail in accordance with the rules for the carriage of goods in force on this type of transport.

5. MANUFACTURER WARRANTY

5.1. The manufacturer guarantees the compliance of peanut butter with the requirements of this standard, provided that the consumer observes the conditions of transportation and storage.
Subject to the storage conditions provided for by this standard, the following warranty periods for the storage of refined deodorized peanut oil are established (from the date of bottling):
packaged in bottles - 6 months;
poured into flasks - 4 months;
poured into barrels - 1.5 months.

2.4. The content of toxic elements, aflatoxin and pesticides in peanut oil intended for direct consumption or for processing into food products must not exceed the permissible levels established for vegetable oils by the Medical and Biological Requirements and Sanitary Standards for the Quality of Food Raw Materials and Food Products by the USSR Ministry of Health, approved on August 1, 1989 N 5061-89 * (appendices 1 and 2).

3a. ACCEPTANCE RULES

3a.1. Acceptance rules - according to GOST 5471 *.

3a.2. Control over the content of toxic elements, pesticides, aflatoxin is carried out in accordance with the procedure established by the manufacturer of products in agreement with the state sanitary supervision bodies and guaranteeing the safety of products.

3. TEST METHODS

3.1. Sampling methods - according to GOST 5471 and test methods according to clause 2.3 of this standard.

Preparation of samples for the determination of toxic elements - according to GOST 26929.


3.2. Determination of toxic elements - according to GOST 26927, GOST 26928, GOST 26930 - GOST 26934.

Determination of aflatoxin and pesticides - according to the methods of the Ministry of Health of the USSR.

4. PACKAGING, LABELING, TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

4.1. Refined deodorized peanut oil, intended for direct consumption, is packaged with a net weight of 500 and 700 g in glass bottles according to GOST 10117.1 - GOST 10117.2 *, types IX, XVI, as well as with a net weight of 470, 575 and 1000 g in bottles made of colored polymer materials approved by the Ministry of Health of the USSR.

It is allowed, upon agreement with the consumer, to pour refined deodorized peanut oil into aluminum flasks in accordance with GOST 5037 GOST 17133 and other materials permitted by the USSR Ministry of Health, as well as in non-galvanized steel barrels in accordance with GOST 13950 with a coating of internal surfaces permitted for use by the USSR Ministry of Health.

4.2. Deviations from the net weight in grams are allowed:

when packing 1000 - ±10;

when packing 470-700 - ±5.

Oil bottles must be hermetically sealed (cork stopper or cardboard capsule). Corks and capsules must be filled with resin or, together with the neck of the bottle, covered with a tightly fitting aluminum or other cap with a gasket to ensure the tightness and integrity of the package.

4.3. Peanut butter is transported:

a) in clean dry railway tanks with tightly closed hatches in accordance with GOST 10674 *;

b) tank trucks in accordance with GOST 9218, in non-galvanized steel barrels in accordance with GOST 13950, in aluminum flasks in accordance with GOST 5037 with sealing rings made of grease-resistant rubber in accordance with GOST 17133 and other materials permitted by the USSR Ministry of Health;

c) in bottles installed in boxes.

4.4. Bottling of peanut butter must be carried out strictly by type and variety in accordance with the quality indicators of each type and variety.

4.5. Transport marking in accordance with GOST 14192, with the application of the following additional designations characterizing the products and containing:

b) type and grade of oil;

c) the number of bottles in a packaging unit;

d) filling date for barrels, flasks or filling date for bottles;

e) number of this standard;

4.6. Each bottle must have a colorful printed label containing:

a) the name of the manufacturer, its location or its trademark;

b) type and grade of oil;

c) net weight in grams;

d) bottling date;

e) calorie content of 100 g of the product, kcal;

g) warranty period of storage;

h) the designation of this standard.

The date of bottling of peanut butter is affixed with a composter or a stamp on the label, embossed on the cap, or in any other way that provides a clear indication of it.


4.7. Bottles with oil are packed in wooden boxes in accordance with GOST 11354 and in plastic reusable boxes in accordance with OST 10-16.

It is allowed to pack bottles made of polymeric material into corrugated cardboard boxes in accordance with GOST 13516.

4.8. Shipping containers and packaging for peanut butter sent to the regions of the Far North and equivalent areas must comply with the requirements of GOST 15846.

4.9. Peanut butter must be stored in closed cans prior to filling into railroad cars, metal drums and bottles.

4.10. Peanut butter is transported by rail in accordance with the rules for the carriage of goods in force on this type of transport.

5. MANUFACTURER WARRANTY

5.1. The manufacturer guarantees the compliance of peanut butter with the requirements of this standard, provided that the consumer observes the conditions of transportation and storage.

Subject to the storage conditions provided for by this standard, the following warranty periods for the storage of refined deodorized peanut oil are established (from the date of bottling):

packaged in bottles - 6 months;

poured into flasks - 4 months;

poured into barrels - 1.5 months.
