In this article I will give you an example of the costs that my friend had to spend in a small town. At the very beginning, he opened a small shop of spare parts for domestic and foreign cars. And the ability to bring the necessary part in a short time made his shop popular among car owners. He was also able to quickly figure out what most often he had to order and expanded the range. Now in his store there are goods worth several tens of millions of rubles, if we count them in sales prices.

But now not everything is going so smoothly for him as in the first year. And this is due to the fact that suppliers cannot now provide goods at very low prices, and there are many competitors. After drawing up a business plan and carrying out all calculations, it is time to start taking active steps to open a business. You need to act in stages in the following order:

  1. Select the type of store you would like to open... Here you must clearly understand in what format it will be (self-service, traditional retail, online store).
  2. Register yourself with the Federal Tax Service as an entrepreneur... You can also open a legal entity, but I believe that it will be quite enough to open this type of business.
  3. Determine the niche you want to occupy.
  4. Make a list of the assortment that you need to purchase first. To do this, it is necessary to fully analyze the existing demand, as well as competitors.
  5. Find a room. It should be located in a convenient location where the demand for auto parts often arises. Choosing the type of store

If your funds allow you to purchase a large amount of goods at once, then it is advisable for you to open a self-service store with a large area. Such a supermarket will be a joy to any car owner, because he will be able to independently touch all the spare parts, compare the original and the analogue of the desired part, and also see additional functional or decorative goods for the car.

The average check in such a store will always be higher if you place the goods correctly. For example, essential goods are usually placed closer to the checkout at the very end of the hall. And it works this way.

The buyer went in in the winter for washer fluid, which costs 150 rubles. But he did not immediately fall into his hands. But passing by the shelves, he saw a long brush, which is very convenient for clearing snow from the car, and grabbed it. And it costs 100 rubles. Further, while waiting in line with a liquid and a brush, he saw a funny air fragrance for the cabin. I also grabbed it, the cost of which is 50 rubles. Thus, after going through the store in search of a liquid, the buyer's check increased by 150 rubles, which was 150% of the cost of the liquid itself.

But if you don’t have a lot of funds, I do not recommend creating large debts. You can develop gradually like my friend. Therefore, in this case, it is easier for you to open a small store, but do not limit the assortment only to the brought ones, but work on order, gradually increasing the volume of goods in your store.

Registration of individual entrepreneurs

Of course, you can open an LLC as well. But it seems to me inappropriate for the following reasons:

  • fines, imposed on organizations is several times higher than for entrepreneurs;
  • all profits made by a legal entity will be taxed if you want to give it to yourself as a salary or dividends, and the individual entrepreneur can simply freely put these funds in his pocket;
  • organizations are forced to provide more reporting compared to entrepreneurs.

Niche definition

Depending on the niche you choose, you will communicate with completely different buyers, and the average check amount will be completely different. This will directly depend on your assortment:

  1. If you only sell Russian auto parts, then get ready for the fact that your average check will be quite low.
  2. When selling goods for middle class foreign cars, you can increase your receipt, as well as to increase the traffic of the store, as this is the most popular segment of cars.
  3. When selling goods for expensive foreign cars, you can earn a large amount of money from one sold part. However, you should understand that owners of expensive cars are not always ready to buy parts in stores, since they mostly trust official dealers in repairs. Therefore, the number of such clients you will have is small.

But again, this is all very individual. If you live in a village where most of the cars are domestic, then you should focus on them. And if you open your store next to a repair shop for expensive foreign cars, it is advisable for you to have a large list of goods for them in your assortment.

After determining what niche you want to occupy, you need to draw up a specific list of products that should always be in your store, as well as the list that is available for order. To accommodate the entire assortment that you have planned to sell, you must order the appropriate racks. Most of the products are currently manufactured in China. And there, as you know, there are several levels of markets. Therefore, the same parts can be of completely different quality.

If you do not yet have reliable proven suppliers, I recommend that you first make small test purchases from several companies and compare the quality provided. Plus, you should always have an alternative supplier in case one of them doesn't have the item you want.

Marketing

By the time of opening, you need to create an active marketing activity so that they know about you already on the opening day. Only then will you be able to attract many clients from the very beginning. Use different directions:

  • discounts;
  • stock;
  • advertising on television and radio;
  • advertising on social networks;
  • noisy opening with a concert or lottery draws.

In addition, you can distribute leaflets to taxi drivers, post banner ads in the city, place advertising information in the nearest car repair services. Make extensive marketing activities and then you will get results in the first months.
