Serbia - the life of Russian emigrants in the Balkans. Serbia - the life of Russian emigrants in the Balkans Cost and terms of registering a company in Serbia

The proximity of the location, the absence of the need to obtain a visa for entry, the similarity of mentality and loyalty of the local population to the citizens of the countries of the former USSR, as well as the stability of the Serbian economy cannot but be its pluses for doing business. Everything Russian is loved in Serbia. Serbs even say that "Russian means good." Therefore, the Serbian market will be quite an attractive starting point for Russian businessmen, if they wish to enter the international level.

However, there are other benefits that are not widely known.

Serbia welcomes investments in its country, so 14 free economic zones have been created here.

Most often, companies in Serbia are registered in the form of a limited liability company (D.O.O.)

  1. It is important to determine the main activity of the company, which will be registered in the ARP. If the type of activity provides for certification or permits, then when registering the type of activity of the company, it is necessary to attach the necessary documents. This applies to such activities as, for example, production, circulation of something, processing and storage of hazardous substances, banking, activities of insurance organizations.
  2. After determining the type of activity and the name of the company, it is necessary to draw up an act of foundation and certification (over) in court or at a notary with the seal of a translator. Court fees: about 30 euros, plus the cost of the services of an invited translator - 50 €.
  3. Temporary accounts are opened for co-founders in a bank to deposit authorized capital in accordance with their shares (the capital can be from 100 dinars).
  4. Certified documents with the act are submitted to the enterprise registration agency (ARA) to make a decision on the foundation and obtain the necessary details for the company, waiting up to 5 days. ARP fees: about 50 euros.
  5. After successful registration in the ARP, the legal entity begins its life and, accordingly, the reporting period has begun. The work of an accountant to support the company begins.
  6. To get started, you need a company seal. The workshop is required to present a decision on its registration in the ARP.
  7. In accordance with the law, it is necessary to open a currency and dinar accounts of the company in a bank. Signatures of the co-founders with the seal of the company will be required. Upon opening the accounts, in a couple of days, the authorized capital is transferred to them from the temporary accounts of the co-founders.
  8. At this stage, the founders of their family members can apply to the MUE for a temporary residence permit for a period of 6 to 12 months. The original decision on registration of the company in the ARP and other documents from the article "Residence permit" are required
  9. Next, you need to register a "happy book" - a work book for the director and, if any, for other employees of the company. Registration is carried out in "Opshtyn" - the District Administration at the place of registration. "Radna knizhitsa" and other forms are sold in stores - "Sluzhni glasnik".
  10. After registering the work book, the accountant requests a “radna permit” - a work permit for the director, and then for the rest of the employees. A certified uverenje from the Municipal Unitary Enterprise on Savskaya is required. "Radna permit" is valid until the end of "boravishnog permit" (until the end of the residence permit).
  11. After obtaining a work permit, you can apply for state health insurance for employees, which operates in the same way - until the end of the "boravishnog permit". Extended on the basis of confirmation of the timely payment of taxes (plastic cards).

The monthly maintenance of the company depends on the turnover and the number of employees, which is reflected in the cost of accounting services and the amount of taxes.

Serbia is a republic in southeastern Europe, roughly in the center of the Balkan Peninsula. Serbia has been a member of the UN since 2000 and a candidate for the EU since 2012. Serbia does not have and is not expected to be a member of the OECD, so the level of confidentiality is respected. Serbia is not considered an offshore zone either, although opening a business in Serbia is perhaps one of the best decisions.

How Mikhail Larionov launched a chain selling Russian organic cosmetics in the Balkans

As a rule, for business emigration, Russian entrepreneurs choose countries that are promoted in terms of the business climate - the Czech Republic, Germany, Canada, the USA, the Baltic states. Siberian entrepreneur Mikhail Larionov, on the other hand, has launched several successful businesses in Serbia, a small country in the Balkans that is rarely considered an option for starting a business abroad. Perhaps the experience of Mikhail Larionov will be useful to those entrepreneurs who are looking for a promising foreign location to start a new business.

Mikhail Larionov, 38, entrepreneur, owner of a chain of stores selling Russian organic cosmetics in Serbia "OrganicShop" and a company selling cedar mini-saunas "Kedrova Prica". It also has a small (0.5 ha) plantation of goji berries in the Fruška Gora National Park. Education: Faculty of Economics, Altai State University. Married, has two children (born in Serbia).

Mikhail Larionov

Why Serbia?

I first came to Serbia in 2001, supplying chemical raw materials from Russia and Belarus. At that time, the country, of course, presented a gloomy picture - after the bombings of 1999 and all civil wars. But nothing, in general I liked it on a business trip - the kitchen, first of all, and, of course, the people. There was some kind of spiritual closeness and sincere love for the Russians. Then, for the first time, I learned that the Serbs treat us this way. For example, the Serbs have a saying: "God is in heaven, but Russia is on earth."

Choosing the country of residence, I was guided by many factors, but first of all - business interests. For example, I never understood options like “we will buy real estate on the sea, and then we will come up with some kind of business.” This option with resort real estate and tourism at sea is not for me. The seasonal factor affects all businesses there, and in this regard, there are very high risks: if there are tourists, there is work, and if they are not? Business should be built on working with locals who become your regular customers if you have earned their trust.

It was also important for me that the country of residence was consistently friendly towards Russians. That is, Germany or the United States immediately fell away, since relations with them are unstable.

Tennis in Novi Sad and sauna in Belgrade

I have been living in Serbia more or less permanently since 2008. I finally moved during the then crisis, I wanted to leave Siberia, where winter lasts six months, to a country with a mild climate. He opened the first firm with a Serb, with whom he collaborated in petrochemistry, and she is still alive. Engaged in real estate and tourism. Dispersed for a long time, without earning anything; That's when I got acquainted with the Serbian character trait: stubbornness and unwillingness to compromise, although it is acceptable (according to our logic) for both sides. Instead, an unsolvable situation arises, and it can last indefinitely. Serbs are not used to hurry.

After that, I was engaged in attracting tennis players from Russia and the CIS countries to the tennis academy in the city of Novi Sad. I managed to earn something on tennis, my clients were happy, many people still remember Serbia and Novi Sad with warmth, I managed to make friends with many of them. By the way, people from the entourage of the famous Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic from time to time invite me to participate in the creation of a new academy in Novi Sad and in another resort place. It all sounds interesting on the surface, but it's a huge amount of work and a huge investment of time, which simply doesn't exist, given that you have several businesses of your own and a family with two children.

Then I moved to Belgrade and kept a salon in the city center with a sauna and massages: many tourists came, there were local satisfied customers, but there were not as many as I would like, and the salon took a significant amount of time, while the rent became inadequate over time. Therefore, at some point I made a strong-willed decision to close the salon, but I still continue to sell cedar mini-saunas.

With assimilation to local realities, it seemed to me that I quickly coped. But it just seemed to me. Probably, many who moved here are subject to this illusion: it seems that the people are close in mentality, the language is similar, the same religion, etc. But the differences are serious, and it takes time to comprehend and accept them. For example, the Serbs are very good at making a self-presentation: it seems that you have discussed everything, agreed on conditions, shook hands and should start working. But ... nothing happens, and everything has to start over. This was hard for me to get used to. Moreover, in Belgrade it’s still somehow normal, you can come to an agreement with people, and there will be a result in the end, but, say, in Novi Sad, it can be negotiations three to five times longer, and everything will only end with a conversation.

We live in the center of Belgrade, it takes me 10-15 minutes to get to work by car or trolleybus, which is sometimes preferable due to parking problems. There are multi-storey parking lots, but parking there is more expensive than on the street. In Serbia, money is not as easy to earn as in our country, so you always need to look where you can save.

I think that Serbia is the best country for family life, however, if you have found yourself here and if there is a business that you like to do and earn money with it. Starting something here is certainly not easy. First, you need to learn the language well. The key word here is "good". Many live somehow making do with what they have learned “by ear”, they have some kind of mixture of languages, Russian and Serbian, but this is not an option if you want to work here seriously.

Russian means good

The idea to open a natural cosmetics store did not come to mind right away. But somehow I noted that the Serbs with whom I was friends sincerely admired the products of the Natura Siberica brand, which I once introduced them to. I helped them with contacts in Moscow, then they agreed with the drogery format network and now they supply a limited assortment there, about 12 items of products. But they buy products through an intermediary, and it comes from a warehouse in Germany, the cost is significantly higher. At the same time, I have about 300 items in stores now. My calculation was based, among other things, on the fact that Serbs love everything Russian, and this is one of the business opportunities in this country.

Recently, I came up with a slogan for our advertising - “Rusko. Natural. Uvek najbolje "(in Russian it sounds something like this -" Russian. Natural. Always the best. "The Russians will not feel it like the Serbs, now I will test it with the Serbs, more precisely - on the Serbs, of course.

We sell cosmetics from Pervoe Resheniya, the leading manufacturer of natural cosmetics in Russia and the fifth in terms of the share of the domestic cosmetics market. You can buy products of Natura Siberica, Planeta Organica, Organic Shop and Organic People brands from us. Among the new brands that we are adding in September are Babushka Agafya and Organic Therapy. "Grandmother Agafja" was already sold in Serbia, and satisfied customers came to us. Only I will sell it here cheaper than it was before today. The point is not in dumping, of course, but in real prices with large sales volumes. With such a policy, First Solution cosmetics have prospects not only in Serbia, but all over the world.

Within 5 months after opening the second store, we have already gained a good number of regular customers without investing in advertising. The idea of natural cosmetics is becoming more and more popular, especially if it is a Russian product at an affordable price.

"Serbs love everything Russian and this is one of the business opportunities in this country."

The bulk of our clients are Serbs, of course, as well as tourists from the countries of the former Yugoslavia, Hungary, Romania, Switzerland, Spain, Greece and Germany. There were also the Japanese, who were very happy with our prices, they sell Natura Siberica much more expensively. Russian clients also appear.

Marketing and sales

Our main sales go through our two stores, there are also wholesale sales to small stores in Belgrade and in the Serbian regions.

As far as marketing is concerned, we are just starting to deal with it seriously. Our product sells itself. We tried the most elementary - the distribution of flyers, and it worked. Customers themselves come who have already bought our products in Russia or received them as a gift and were satisfied. Many people are glad that they don't have to ask their friends to send it to them from Moscow, because our prices practically do not differ from those in Moscow.

Our best advertisement is the recommendation of satisfied customers. They say that Facebook is effective here, they haven’t tried it yet, it’s not clear to me yet how the number of “likes” is converted into real sales figures. It has a good effect on buyers and attracting public figures, but, in my opinion, it is not fair if you attract someone for advertising, but in real life a person does not use this cosmetics. Much more correct, of course, although more difficult, is to make him fall in love with your cosmetics and recommend it in a friendly way.

Project Economics

I launched the Organic Shop network on savings, it was not a very large investment at first. I have no partners; cooperated for some time with one local compatriot on imports, but he did not fulfill our agreements, so he was forced to stop joint activities with him.

The main investments were in commodity stocks. Then he invested about 2,000 euros in the decoration of the store, the condition of the premises was good. I have my own materials, I bring wood for finishing from Novosibirsk, the carpenter was not from Belgrade, I saved something on this. This is a small store of 14 "squares", but in the very center of Belgrade, our assortment with this area is about 300 items. I would not like to talk about revenue, but I can say that investments in both stores paid off in the first month.

We opened the second store on March 8th, and all I did for advertising was print out “March 8th we are working” on the printer, and on the first day of work we had many customers. And this year, March 8th fell on a Sunday, many shops were closed, following the tradition of Yugoslav socialism. But we couldn't miss a day like this! And now we work according to an unusual schedule for locals: every day, from 9 to 21, including on weekends. On Saturdays and Sundays, I go out myself to work for one shift, these days are shortened for sellers, the shift is 6 hours.

In a year or two I plan to expand our network in Belgrade to 7-8 stores, I do not consider other cities yet, I think that it would be better to direct efforts to marketing, wholesale and online sales. In neighboring countries there is also a good prospect of sales, potential partners are often interested in us. I think that the potential of this business is almost inexhaustible, because in any crisis, girls and women will find an opportunity to buy personal care products.

How are foreign entrepreneurs treated in Serbia?

As for the attitude towards foreigners doing business in Serbia, it is quite favorable, if you do not do something big. For in a big matter, politics is already interfering. I heard a story that our retail chains tried to enter the Serbian market, but they didn’t let anyone in, although retail, in my opinion, is not very developed here and there is room for business. The same "Magnet" could work quite successfully. I would not say that the level of bureaucracy is high. Recently, something has been liberalized, for example, you can make outdoor advertising, and only then (if the inspection comes) to coordinate it. They surprised me when I went with the project to coordinate the "outdoor advertising" on the historical building, they said - "But we usually do it, and then they coordinate it."

Business taxes in Serbia

A foreigner can establish a company of any legal form independently orand together with the citizens of Serbia, P The process of opening a company takes several days, and if there are correctly executed documents, it does not require much participation on the part of the entrepreneur himself. To open a company, you must have a passport, founding documents, lease or ownership of the office. The following types of taxes are currently levied in Serbia: P payroll payments- 20%, tax on the payroll fund - 3.5%, p pension insurance- 9.8%, m health insurance- 5.95% , with employment insurance- 0.55%, n corporate income tax- 14% . Turnover taxes: n sales tax- 17+3%, n service fee g 17+3%.

P.S.

For those entrepreneurs who consider Serbia as an option for starting their business abroad, I would recommend learning the language well, not hoping that "serb brothers will understand it anyway." The second, and perhaps most important, is to try to live according to the principle “You don’t go to a strange monastery with your charter.” Like it or not, the locals live here because they are used to it, not you. ( I looked on your website about an entrepreneur who lives in two countries and is not going to lose touch with Russia. I have a similar position, and in Serbia it is much easier to do this than anywhere else: there are a lot of Russophiles here, there are also Russian-language schools).

Look for business opportunities, focusing on the local population, and not on former Russians, there are an order of magnitude fewer of them than, say, in Germany, and you cannot build a business on them.
